A - Mostly clear straw with a wimpy head.
S - Nose is some orange and spices. Smells quite sweet.
T - Definitely on the blander side. A little sweetness, a little citrus, and a bit of a husky grain.
M - Light body with a little bit of slickness.
D - Easy drinking, but light on flavour.

A: Cloudy, peach color, with a massive two finger head after a hard pour.
S: Hmmm... hard to detect the exact spices. Kind of like coriander, but it wasn't that forward. A bit of clean cotton scent, with tons of yeast.
T: Mild fruity sweetness, with a good amount of pillowy, yeasty goodness. Clean finish.
M: Not too sweet, and the carbonation was like the rest of Sam's variety pack beers.
O: Not bad, not great, just in between. I could have used tons more funkiness overall. This one was a safe attempt.

Slightly cloudy, with sticky foam around the edges.
Scent is herbal and citrus, also slightly grassy.
Taste is a little on the sweet end, and the orange really stands out here. Again very herbal, with a tarragon aftertaste. A good amount of carbonation makes this refreshing but doesn't take over the beer. Good springtime beer.

A - Pours a foggy straw, with a slightly lacking all white head. Good looking beer, just would have expected a more meaty head on it.
S - Lemony, citrusy. A good amount of wheat to it.
T - Lots of good lemon, the same wheatiness, which is really nice. A bit of orange that I didn't pick up on in the smell.
M - A bit undercarbonated for what I was expecting. A nice clean finish, though.
Overall, a good offering. One of my favorites from SA.

pours a clear yellow/orange with a fat finger of white head which settles quickly. leaves a solid lacing.
smell: coriander, with a wheat backbone and a minimal citrus hint.
taste: slight wheat, minimal spice, finished by a tangy zest flavor.
mouthfeel: fucking smooth. goes in kinda foamy but quickly settles and becomes relatively creamy and doesnt leave anything hanging behind.
drinkability: i must really be in the mood for this one. best thing ive had from sam adams hands down.

Really nice beer. Pours a nice golden color.
Clean and fruity on the palate, very refreshing. It isn't as yeasty as I might have expected, but is tasty none the less.
It doesn't seem like a traditional witbier to me, but its real nice whatever it is.

So this seems like it will be a winter and spring beer exclusive to the mixed 12 packs, at first I was disappointed, but then I realized that I really don't want more than two of it, as I now know of better representations of the style.
Appearance: Very yellow and clear, decent white head that dissipates fast and leaves some lacing. Shouldn't this be cloudy and not clear?
Smell: Wheat, coriander, orange
Taste: Wheat, coriander, orange, pepper, lemon
Mouthfeel: Light body, semi-crisp carbonation, refreshing.
Overall: A decent witbier, and a good offering from Sam Adams, but there are better ones out there. Makes a good session beer, feels very appropriate to Spring time, just as the weather is finally getting warm.

a - Pours a clear golden orange color with one inch of white head and moderate carbonation evident.
s - Smells of apples, fruity malts, spices, yeast, and bready malts. A bit light on all of them.
t - Tastes of bready malts, grain, and light fruity malts. A bit watery.
m - Light body and high carbonation that stings the tongue.
d - An average witbier at best; nothing really stood out to me about it. Could drink a few of them but not sure I'd want to. Not one of SA's better beers.

pours nice and blonde/opaque with a decent head and a bit of lacing
smell is quite typical to bad for a belgian wit - spice and sweet fruit, smells like blue moon.
tastes very fruity and sticky sweet...a slight bit of spice - just ok.
overall this is a barely less than average wit - i guess i'd compare it to blue moon or something to that affect...nothing special

Deep orange color, hazy with highlights. Foam is a very fine, thick network of small white bubbles.
Fruity aroma. Oranges, floral, other cirtusy flavors. Tang, and a small hop bite on the back end. In balance. There is a spicy flavor I can't identify, but which I don't think is coriander (though there is coriander).
Mouthfeel is medium body, highly carbonated.
One of the better American takes on the belgian witbier.

Cloudy gold, with a nice head of white foam. Attractive. Decent lace.
Aroma is nicely spicy, with some hints of yeast and grain.
Taste has a nice little peppery heat, with some citrus accents.
Tasty and an easy drinker, and better than a Blue Moon.

A: I poured two thirds into a pint glass, and then swirled around the remaining beer to collect the sediment before pouring the rest. The beer is a light golden hazy color, with ample head. I primarily noted a citrus scent, with faint spice in the background. Taste was decent for a witbier, although not particular spicy, or even citrus-y. Medium bodied, but very smooth and crisp.
I'd probably have this again if it was on sale, but I don't know if I'd actively seek it out.

Look- Awesome. Deep orangeish gold, slight haziness. Small head that mostly dissipates after a couple drinks, but big beautiful lacing that sticks all over the glass.
Smell- Orange peels, yeast a little spiciness.
Taste- Tastes great but too light on flavor. Citrus and spice followed by cloves then some yeast and wheat.
Mouth- A little thin and "Dry" medium carbonation
O/A- This is good stuff. There are better witbeers out there, but for a dollar a piece this is a must buy.
P.s. my beer is gone and my glass still has pretty lacing all over it.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a globe glass.
A: Cloudy golden yellow with a very small head that dissipates very quickly.
S: Citrusy hops, orange, slight slcohol.
T: Nutty, orange, lemon, slight bitter ending.
M: A bit on the "creamy" side, probably because of the medium to high carbonation. Medium bodied.
D: This beer is easy to drink and is quite refreshing. It's a decent beer and I might purchase this again.

Not too bad for a wheat beer. First sip on a clean pallet was fantastic, followed by a linear flavor degredation until it became a average wheat beer. Wheat is tuff in my opinion. There all either amazing or just plain wheat beer.
I do not taste the exstravigant flavors that some reviewers aledge to.

12 oz bottle notched with typical SA enjoy-by date. Part of the "American Originals" variety 12 pack.
Pours a very lite golden-yellow. A white head sticks around a bit. Bunches of carb trailers. Looks good for a wit! Smell is slightly skunky, opening up to a mild potpourri of spices. Taste starts of on the bitter end, and opens up into more citrusy territory, before finishing dry and bitter again. Kind of overwhelmed by the variety of spices, but nice complexity. Tasty wit, I'd drink it again.

A: Pours a hazy gold with a head that settles quickly. some noticeable carbonation.
S: Some nice florals and bread/yeast up front for me. Then comes the obvious citrus i was expecting.
T: Im getting what i had smelled but here it seems a little more subtle. Wheats, cloves, and citrus.
M/D: Very drinkable. I would even say refreshing and its 9:30 at night!!! I think this is a nice offering for what it is...a lighter spring beer that still has some flavor. Im not hating on this bad boy.

Pourede from a 12oz bottle into a Samuel Adams Noble Pils branded pilsner glass.
Appearance: Pours a hazy golden color with a slight orange tiny and a medium-sized, thick looking white head that dissipates slowly and leaves behind some spotty lace.
Smell: Citrus, yeast, and some spice, but a weak aroma overall.
Taste: Begins spicy and citrusy, finishing bready and yeasty with a wheat flavor.
Mouthfeel: Lighter in body with light carbonation and a refreshing finish.
Overall: Like most Sam Adams brews, this is a good beer and a faithful interpretation of the style but is not necessarily the best example. Definitely an enjoyable and easily drinkable brew, I wouldn't mind having this again.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a weizen glass.
A: Pours a pale straw yellow with a medium sized white head.
S: Spices, wheat tang, a bit of funk and cloves.
T: All the scents come through in the taste, but they're all toned down and weak, not much here at all.
D: Drinks a little too easy. This doesn't have any of the heft of a good wit. There is little complexity and the mouthfeel is watery thin.
Overall: Not the best wit I've ever had. Inoffensive enough, but just too thin and lifeless.

Hazy pale amber, moderately carbonated for the style. Curiously, there's no sediment in the bottle. A thin white head quickly settles to a collar.
Spices come through strongly on the nose. Coriander and orange peel with tangy wheat behind. Not much character from the yeast, and the spices are overdone.
Sweet and spicy on the palate: coriander, orange, sweet doughy malt. Tangy wheat, lemony citrus. Heavy-handed spice flavors make this pretty hard to drink. Medium body, spices linger into the finish, which is also somewhat slick and milky. Not dry enough to be refreshing.
Piss poor for the style, really nothing enjoyable about it. The combination of uncharacteristic sweetness and excessive spicing make this pretty hard to choke down.

The body is slightly hazy, with some sediment floating. The color is orange-gold. Minimal white head dissipates quickly.
The smell is corriander and a spritz of lemon.
The taste also has corriander with a touch of peach and apricot. There's a grassy note in the finish.
Mouthfeel is thin but clean. Light carbonation.
It's a good beer and decent representation of the style.

Samuel Adams - While Ale
03/19/2011
C: 4.0 - Golden color with light hazy quality, similar to a blonde ale. It has pinkish hues which give it a pleasant color and attractiveness. Soft pour produces about a quarter inch of head, which dissipates quickly.
S: 3.0 - Lemon or Citrus. Light malts.
T: 2.5 - Flat and tasteless in the front. The middle produces a mild citrus flavor which lingers for about a second or two. The finish is also mostly flat but provides a very faint bitterness.
M: 3.0 - The beer has substantial carbonation which combined with the alcohold produces a strong tingling sensation in the mouth. It's not bad, but I am not a fan of this aspect of the beer.
D: 2.5 - Beer is mostly tasteless. I can think of at least a half dozen beers in this style that are better.
