Poured from glass into pint glass

Appearance – Pours a clear straw color with a huge billowy white head. The head has big carbonation bubbles entrapped within which pop to give a medium to light amount of lacing.

Smell – The aroma is heavy in lemon with lighter hints of wheat. The lemon aroma is of a sweeter nature resembling that of lemonade. When mixed with the wheat and a light hop aroma it makes for a very nice aroma.

Taste – A sweet malt flavor of some wheat and lemon meet the tongue. The citrus lemon makes for a very lemonade like quality. While sweet upfront it sweetness even more toward the middle with heavier flavors of lemon. The sweetness is of largely white sugar giving the brew and even more lemonade flavor. As the taste advances beyond the middle however, it loses a bit of the sweetness (although it is still sweet) and becomes a bit more bready in nature. This sweet lemon and wheat flavor mixed with a very light grassy hop finish off the taste.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is very light and the carbonation is a bit below normal. Both give the beer a more lemonade like flavor.

Overall – It is refreshing, but not something I am typically looking for in a beer. It is much better then something like a Mike’s hard lemonade, so if you are in the mood for something of that like take this instead.

A- pours a light gold, big head of foam, good lacing.

S- very much a lemonade aroma, kind of on the sweet side.

T- has a decent taste of semi sweet lemonade, a bit more sourness would be nice. I get a bit of a grainy flavour a well.A pretty simple brew that's not bad and somewhat refreshing.

M- light bodied, medium carbonation, it fits.

O- an interesting try at a Radler but not worthy, imho, of any revisits.

Porch Rocker is slightly darker than straw- colored brew with a nose of lemons and a slight head of foam that is quite impressive at first, but doesn’t last for long. There is some bread in the background, but the scent is mostly that of lemons.

With the taste, it’s more of the same- the flavor of lemons dominates. But there is also some pale malt and almost a ginger- ale component to the taste. And again, there is some bread character, but it is difficult to think of anything other than lemons as you consume.

Porch Rocker is a lemon- accented beer and it ranks as one of the least- bitter brews I have ever tasted. It certainly has some redeeming qualities as a summer beer, but it isn’t the type of taste I go for on a regular basis. I might try it again when the heat and humidity of summer are at a peak, but other than that, I will likely pass on this one more often than not. The sweetness and taste of lemons are not beer qualities I want in an everyday beer.

12 oz bottle was poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: This beer poured a minimal head that reduced to nothing quickly. It is a pale yellow color with great clarity and slow moving bubbles coming up through the glass.

Smell: lemon and lime juice aroma, some spices, and pale and bready malts.

Taste: Lemonade and beer, sure. Tastes like a shandy, but there is a lot of sugar to this beer.

Mouthfeel: Light, low carbonation, a little chewy, lemony sweet, crisp, and refreshing on this sweltering Boston afternoon.

Overall: A refreshing beer I could really only have a couple due to all the sweetness that this beer is characteristic of beer.

Poured this 12 oz fruit beer from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. This ale poured a bright clear golden color, produced a nice white head and lacing that stuck to the glass. The aroma consisted of fresh squeezed lemons and fresh baked bread. Light in body, the ale had a foundation of light fluffy bread, lemon and i mean- a heavy dose of lemon. Very tart, crisp , smooth , refreshing- One of the best summer or lawn mower beers i have ever sampled. I will have to pick up a full 6 pack of this.

Absolutely one of the best beers I have ever had by Sam Adams. Can definitely drink this all day every day. Taste is outstanding and the aroma is overall exceptional. Perfect for a hot summer day sitting on your porch...just as the name suggests. Overall a perfect beer. Top notch panty dropper

Scored in the summer variety pack.

Pours a cloudy yellow, a duller hefeweizen kind of appearance going for itself. Aroma of lemons. Its minorly sweet, for a shandy beer, its probably below average, which gives a bit of the beer aspects of the aroma to eek out.

Plenty of lemon in the taste, wheaty and other citric notes after that. A real soft wheat/grain/hop edge. Its surprisingly enjoyable, I'd rather drink this than Boston Lager on a hot day, a little tart, a little sweet. Call it a guilty pleasure maybe.

Still nothing I would drink more than 12oz of in any given 24 hour period. Its a nice beer to start out or have early in the drinking experience. Couldn't see it working in anything below 60 degrees outside. Carbonation good, beer neither too light or too heavy. I'd say my score goes up 1/2 grade on this beer when its 90 degrees or above outside.
