Notes:
Borne of our brewers’ many trips to Germany, Alpine Spring features a unique blend of lager attributes: the balanced maltiness and hoppiness of a Helles, the smoothness and slightly higher alcohol of a traditional spring bock, and the unfiltered appearance of a Kellerbier. The beer is brewed with Noble Tettnang hops to add a unique, bright orange-citrusy aroma and flavor.

I get a very flowery smell that could be mistaken for a belgian yeast strain. It also has a lemony citrus smell but not too strong almost like lemonade.
You get the hop spice and bite right up front with a creamy mouthfeel and a very nice bread dough like aftertaste. Its delicious. The best thing about this are the amazing malt characteristics.
It has a light feel to it yet it doesn't. Its odd but definitely the clear cut definition of a spring or even a summer beer. Its perfectly blended with the citrus and slight lemon flavors.
I went into this thinking it was going to be hoppy for some reason but really was surprised and exceeded my expectations at that. Samuel Adams is still one of my favorite brewers even after having tried a fair amount of craft beers.
