Appearance: Dark copper; big frothy off white head, long lasting; good lacing
Aroma: Citrusy hops; malted grain; dried figs; brown sugar; caramel; smells delicious
Taste: Roasted grain and spicy hop on start; quickly moves to dried fig flavor; ends with a semi-sweet, hop flavor; pretty well balanced overall, and fairly tasty.
Remarks: Did not score A, T, S, M at that time; disregard those scores

Pours a moderate/large head that is light brown before it soon recedes. The beer is a deep mahogany that looks like a deep ruby red in the light. Leaves a moderate amount of lacing. Smells of dark caramel, toffee, a bit roasty. Also has mild but noticable citrus and pine notes as well.
Taste starts with caramel and toffee, then becomes roasty, ending with pine and citrus hops. Has a great lingering aftertaste that consists of caramel, pine, a little orange, and just a hint of roastiness. Has a heavy mouthfeel with average carbonation for an IPA

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a 14 oz "pint" glass. Poured a deep blood-like red with a small off white head. Smells of nice piney and citrus notes, very inviting. Tastes of hops of the citrus variety, with some earthy undertones, with some notes of caramelized malt. Beer is carbonated correctly and for its medium body, it is still dangerously sessionable. Overall a very good beer.

Appearance: Decent tan lacing and a pretty red color. Doesn't look like an IPA.
Smell: Strong spiced molasses, almost smells like spiced rum. Cotton candy and some corn. A tad artificial smelling at times, but overall very good.
Taste/Mouthfeel: Good balance between sweet molasses and bitter pine. Excellent cotton candy flavor in the finish. Mouthfeel is definitely light, which doesn't quite do it for me in this style.
Overall: I was slightly disappointed in this. An excellent concept, but not quite executed the same way.

Pours brown but clear ruby red when held to the backlight. Medium tan head with good lacing.
Smells of caramel malt and earthy hops. Maybe a slight twinge of American or Australian hops?
Taste is the same with roasted caramel malt and burnt toast. Earthy hop with a very slight note of fruity hop. Light/moderate bitterness and some sweetness and moderate/full malt flavor.
Mouthfeel is medium/full with moderate carbonation.
Overall a decent red for the price but not one of my favorites. More of an Imperial red leaning toward the malty side.
