Poured into a tulip. Good copper color, lacing just OK.

Good hops in the nose, very foresty.

Mild piney hops on the palate, but doesn't really scrape the tongue and come off as abrasive as some other piney-hopped beers. Sugar-cookie malt backing gives a solid foundation. A little citrus comes through in the aftertaste.

Nice beer. Nothing spectacularly out of this world, just a solid, competent IPA. Easy drinking in all facets of the game.

Poured into a pint glass
A: Aggressive pour yields 3/4 finger white head with good retention. Chill-hazy dark amber. Dark for an IPA, but typical of Latitude 48.
S: Bright citrus with a wave of caramel, some pineapple. Quite nice.
T: Subdued flavor that has pronounced bitter points and some dark fruit esters. Slight off cardboard flavor. Decent, though slightly astringent.
M: Effervescent, maybe a tad too much. Smooth otherwise. A tad phlegm inducing.
O: Fairly good. I'd order another, but wouldn't buy 6 of these.
