Samuel Adams Latitude 48 IPA is dark and gorgeous, earthy, and thin.

It poured dark copper with a massive tan head. A ton of thick lace held on fron the rim to the base of the empty glass. The flavor had notes of grass, pine, and resin. There was a sweet yeasty metallic finish that detracted slightly from an otherwise strong earthy flavor. The feel was thin and short-lived for an IPA.

Latitude 48 IPA was surprisingly good looking and flavorful. The weak bitterness keeps it a notch below the exceptional year-round IPAs (e.g., Torpedo, Two-Hearted, and Centennial).

A-pours a golden copper color with white sudsy head with pretty nice retention
S-lots of pine and resin, some subtle malt in the background
T-more pine with some citrus notes in the finish, the malt provides a nice balance but does not lend much to the flavor
M-medium bodied
O-really nice and well balanced IPA. It isn't out of this world but definitely nails the style.
