Clear amber color with a decent head that quickly recedes. Very sporadic lacing.

Pine, grassy hops on the nose. Hint of sweetness.

Quite bitter, and not in the great hop bitter sense. Very little malt backbone to back up the hops. Seems out of whack.

Syrupy after taste (and feel) sticking to my throat. Not digging this.

Overall not a good IPA. Have come to not expect great things from SA, and this is no exception. I live in california for fuck's sake--we're kings of the IPA for a reason. This thing should crawl back to Baastin with the rest of the IPA rejects.

Has a moderate sized off-white head with a clear amber color. Head has very nice retention. Leaves moderate/heavy lacing. Has a bready, caramel malt smell. Not much hops in the aroma.

Tastes of caramel malts, rye bread, roasty, and toffee, with a bit of hops. More bitter than you would expect with the minimal hop presence. Has an average mouthfeel with moderate carbonation for an IPA.

Drank from the bottle; it's the first time I've had this beer as my taste for ipas are growing by the year. Appearance is a medium to full carbonation with a head of about an inch that settles to an 1/4 inch. The smell is a nice balance of hops to yeast. As a former baker I adore the smell of yeast! The mouthfeel is a subtle balance of slight carbonation hops and sweetness. Overall a really good beer that I would drink again and recommend to others
