This pours a clear, golden rod color with an average head of off-white foam. The scent is weak but has hints of wheat, hops, and malts. The neck label describes a distinct American hop taste and they are right on there! The taste is smooth and clean with a distinct hoppy finish. It tastes a lot like a hopped up version of a German Pilsner. It’s quite tasty and has a decent, unique flavor.

Enjoyed this 12oz bottle out of a Beligan Tulip glass.
A: Pours a clear golden hue with white head that slowly dissipates leaves a decent trail and ends in a wispy lace.
S: Musty malty aroma with a decent hop background.
T: Similar to the smell there is a musty malt flavor going here. Citrus hops and finishes sort of tart.
M: Medium body and medium carbonation.
O: Just a so-so APA – nothing I would grab again.

Bright gold orange with a slight haze, quickly rising carbonation. Softly textured foam that rises above the rim momentarily, and leaves behind some irregular globs of froth and lace in the glass.
Floral hop aroma, slight notes of yeast and pale malt. Simple but pleasant.
Soft notes of pale malt and lightly floral hops than lend a mild bitterness. Finishes dry and clean. Slight dusty grainy sweetness. Fairly light bodied, and slightly creamy in texture. Interesting throwback tribute to the first American craft brewery. Strange to think this could've been the only craft option more than 30 years ago.

A mix a six pickup. Bottle poured into pint glass.
Pours very pale yellow, light gold. Some white foam lasts. Sweet malty bread nose. Light bready taste with a ray of sweetness poking through. Moderately bitter, not extremist. All ale, no superfluous flavors. A one and done.

12 oz bottle into a standard pint glass
A -Pale, slightly cloudy gold, thin head that moves to little to no lace
S - Grass, bread, faint citrus
T - Dry hops, lemony bitterness. Bread and pine notes.
M - Slightly low carbonation wise. Mouthfeel is a little thin. The finish is crisp.
O - A very drinkable, if basic, APA, and its good to recognize some history through the purchase.

Appearance: rich golden crystal body with a one finger white foam head that leaves … well, nothing to speak of
Aroma: light toasted grains, little grassy, maybe herbal biscuit, really light overall, no wow this is a nice smelling ale factor, it is just okay
Flavors/Mouthfeel: grassy bitter note, toasted grains, dry light moderate bitterness on the back, nice lively carbonation, I have not had a Molson Golden in a long long time but this reminds me of that beer – I’ll have to buy a Molson Golden to find out how bad (I mean good) my memory is.
To the Point: a pretty good tasting ‘golden ale’, people see American Pale Ale as the style and think: big time citrus, pine needles, fruity stuff, good bitterness, - well, just calm down folks for this is a 30 year old recipe. In the early 1980’s we did not think of big bold in your face flavors in beer. Enjoy it for what it is – a retro beer. This is how some Pale Ales or Golden Ales tasted back in the 1970’s and 80’s. A fun retro beer to me but, really in today's beer world - just average

My pour yielded a half finger of thin head that dissolved in a little under a minute. Body sports a hazy straw look without any lacing.
I smell grassy hops and adjunct lager.
Taste is sweet and corny/crackery up front. Transitions into mild hop grassiness with a hint of pepper.
Mouthfeel is that of a lawnmower beer.
