Pours a crystal clear pale straw yellow with an all white head. Average retention, some side glass lace.
AROMA: Lemon citrus most porminent
Taste: Citrus with a pretty bitter bite. Peper, herbal grass notes.

This was the last offering in this year's Summer Pack and it wasn't anything particularly memorable. Beers like this tend to be light and the only noteworthy aspect of this was that it tasted quite a bit like the flagship Sam Adams Boston Lager. The malt was certainly here and this may have been the most balanced example of this style that I've had, as a result of that!
No surprise that this beer poured gold and radiant with plenty of head to top it off. The lacing was present but scattered after the ring at the top of my glass. Toasted malt, citrus, lemon, and a bit of grain were in the nose with all of those coming out more in the taste. Not grassy, sour, or reminiscent of a lighter beer, the bread and biscuit notes really came out as this warmed up, with only some floral hops and grains of paradise in the background to give this color. Chewy and cloying, this had a firm body of dough that ensured that it wouldn't go down terribly quickly.
The amount of alcohol was spot-on and this was about as unassuming and easygoing as a beer (in general) could be. More lemon, hops, or grain might have elevated this but as it turned out, this was just fine and enjoyable without any additional flair. Having a December notch on the side of it, this was a nice way to say goodbye to summer without having something watered-down or forgettable!

Poured out of the 12 oz. bottle into one of my pokal glasses, this beer pours a clear, medium golden color with a nice, fluffy looking white head that's well over an inch thick when first poured with very good retention. After awhile, it eventually settles to a thick ring lining the inside of the glass along with big clusters of surface foam and excellent lacing. Aromas of some toasted, biscuit malt sweetness along with a zesty, lemony, herbalness and a bit of fruitiness. The taste is pretty much the same, with slightly toasted, biscuit malt sweetness accompanied by a zesty, slightly lemony, herbal quality along with a bit of sweet fruitiness that's all rounded out with an earthy hop presence with mild bitterness. Good balance of flavors and a very interesting flavor profile all around. Has a crisp, somewhat frothy and smooth, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish and aftertaste. Very refreshing all around. A very good beer here.

8/3...pours hazy gold, white foam lid. Very faint lager nose. Some citrus but barely. Citrussy open - lemons and oranges. Sour mixes with the chalky helles malt. Tiny Tang taste. Clever helles, unspectacular.

12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, best before 10/2017. Pours slightly hazy pale golden/yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts the whole glass. Thick soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of cracker, biscuit, white bread dough, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. A little fruity/yeasty, but not overwhelming. Taste of cracker, biscuit, white bread dough, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, biscuit, white bread dough, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Clean finish. Slightly increasing dryness from bitterness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Fairly clean on lager flavors; some mild fruity/yeasty notes. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very nice Munich helles. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, clean, and refreshing to drink. Spot on style example, and very flavorful for the ABV. Clean malt flavors and just enough hops to balance sweetness. A very enjoyable offering.

This beer pours a rich yellow gold with a medium head. The aroma features biscuit and toasty malts, with lemon zest, clove, peppermint, lemon cake, and peanuts. The flavor features rich biscuit malts, mild toffee, lemon cake, lemon zest, black pepper, toasted nuts, and malted milk candy. The mouthfeel is medium to fuller bodied with medium soft carbonation. Overall this is a really nice fuller bodied lager, that is bold and flavorful yet undeniably drinkable.
