This beer poured a dark, burnt, smokey red hue with a moderate tan head. The beer is crystal clear. The aroma is delightfully malty and spicy. The taste is malty followed by a fair amount of spice and a hint of orange at the end. The aftertaste is bitter/spicy. Its well balanced and medium bodied. The mouthfeel is very lively. A very good beer, very drinkable.

Nice frothy beer that has interesting flavours of not-very-sweet dried fruit. Malt and dextrose on the finish. It's not very warming, but it's definitely a good all-around beer. Nothing impressive, though. I don't taste much of the spice, which is great because I hate ginger, which it supposedly has in it.
