Old Fezziwig Ale I've been told is supposedly a great beer - well, I find it pretty good, but not at the high-level others have...

The beer smell wasn't anything I would consider any better or worse from other ales. Mostly hops and malt, and although appealing, nothing to consider outstanding. Mouthfeel was average at best - a beer with high carbonation, which I find distracts from its overall taste. The taste was good for an ale, even way above average, just not at an exceptional level, I least that's what I thought. Overall, a better than average beer, but nothing that I would consider good enough to rate any higher than some others I've tried. For a seasonal beer/ale - go and get some and enjoy - but don't set the bar high - just enjoy.
