Continuing with my favorite samuel adams seasonal pack, the winter classics, my 50th review will be for this seasonal favorite.

Old Fezziwig Ale just screams holiday time for me, this winter warmer enjoyed in my st. bernardus goblet. It was cooler here last night, i think it got to 70! Nice dark brown color with hints of warming alcohol on the nose and some nice dark fruit in the smell. Very smooth as always this beer. Still tastes great after all these times i've had it. I'm not usually big into the winter warmers, but this one has always been a good one for me. Why o why don't they make a six pack of this for christmas time, i don't know. But i know on christmas morning i'll probably reach for one of these after my coffee is done.

Nice frothy beer that has interesting flavours of not-very-sweet dried fruit. Malt and dextrose on the finish. It's not very warming, but it's definitely a good all-around beer. Nothing impressive, though. I don't taste much of the spice, which is great because I hate ginger, which it supposedly has in it.
