I'll start this review with a little about my tastes. I've had a milk stout and I've had this cream stout. Those are the only stouts that really fit this category so keep that in mind. I also am not a huge stout fan. I like beets with a LOT of flavor, but the flavor of stouts isn't my normal choice, but I’m not saying I dislike them.

A. Pitch black with a nice tan head. Leaves a nice lacing of the glass.

S. I really wish I could express what I'm smelling here. It's the smell of a stout (without the normal chocolate, caramel, coffee coming out clearly) but with a bit more sweetness than normal.

T. As far as your average stouts (price wise) go this one really is what I want from a stout. It's not an extremely flavorful beer, but it's also less than 8 dollars a 6 pack. This beer really has a nice lightness with a greatly great sweet finish that does remind me of cream. Sort of what you'd get with coffee in cream only it's a stout. The malts come out very well, a bit burnt tasting, but not nearly as strong as many are.

m. A good mix of carination and a sticky smoothness to the beer. Really helps bring out the idea of it being a "cream" stout. it might have a hint of artificial flavoring to it, but it's not over powering like some sam adams can be (I'm looking at you cherry wheat).

d. I really can't see myself having more than two of these in a sitting. It's not terribly heavy, but the combination of taste and mouth feel make it something you want to sip on without being really complex and flavorful enough to justify how slow I'm drinking it. Fairly average.
