A - This beer is black. An increasingly aggressive pour produced basically no head. There were a few mocha bubbles around the outside of the glass.
S - I get some caramel and vanilla notes. It has a dessert smell. The alcohol was apparent especially at the beginning.
T - There is a surprising amount of heat in this beer. I would have thought 2-3 years would have mellowed it more. The vanilla is somewhere in the background.
M - Full
O - This beer smelled great, but the alcohol taste was a little harsh.

No head really on a deep amber body with reddish tint when held to the light. Despite minimal head, there is still some scattered lacing. Aroma is fairly bready with bourbon, brown sugar, toffee, raisin and dark chocolate but overall the aroma is light. Flavors of chocolate malts, bourbon, dark breads, vanilla and brown sugar. Full body and moderate carbonation. Highly drinkable and booze well hidden. There are better bourbon barrel aged stouts but few as flavorful and drinkable. Thanks to Chris K in Cincinnati for this one.
