Poured cold from 11.2 ounce bottle to glass beer challis.

A) Splendid hazy golden triple with suspended yeast and fine carbonation.
S) Sour dough, cooked fruit, root beer and waft of alcohol
T) Delicious and complex. Sticky sweet honey, banana, apricots, raisons -- its all here and its darn good.
M) Ample, fine bottle conditioned carbonation is smooth and refreshing
O) Going back for more...

Smell: sweet clementines with subtle herbs and delicate spices

Taste: spicy maple syrup, sweet clementines, and a warm-scotch after-taste with effervescence; lots of head and bubbles

This beer pairs very well with oceanic food, especially raw ahi tuna and sushi...it also goes well with aged dubliner Irish cheese and cracked pepper triscuits

Average in most respects (decent light amber color, weak head, no tracing, lovely maple aromas on the nose) until you get to the taste. From there - sour, wheaty, very little by way of candi sugar or other characteristics I've grown accustomed to with this style. Decent enough, but somewhat disappointing.

Good find, new to Lee's Las Vegas. Traditional look of hazy, lazy pour, good adequate head to release some very fine flavors. No doubt about the citrus out front, but then some subtle fruitiness, followed by some very nice malt. I must admit I am partial to good tripels and this one does not disappoint, almost perfectly balanced and wonderful ABV level that is never boozy. Rest assured, this is a fine beer.

Best before 6/2013.

Pours a hazy honey orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to a small cap. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, honey, yeast, and spices. Taste is much the same with a fruity flavor on the finish. There is a very mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp but medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

11.2 oz bottle.

This beer poured with a clear, golden color with nice, white foam that lingered a long time and left lacing on the glass. The smell was a mild aroma with notes of malt, grain, and a hint of orange citrus. The taste was lightly sweet with malty flavor and mild hops. Typical Tripel flavor with light citrus notes and hints of spice from the yeast. Malt and hints of tropical fruit, incl. coconut, in the flavor. A very good Tripel flavor, not over the top in sweetness. The mouthfeel was crisp and dry with medium body and a clean finish. Overall a light sweetness. Very good taste and mouthfeel. This is a very pleasant and enjoyable Tripel. Very drinkable.

It has cooled off some, which makes it a good opportunity to drink some tripel. From a 330 ml bottle, on to the beer:

The orange color looks a little murky. Tints of gold make themselves shown. A frothy inch thick head which retains well and leaves creamy lacing around adds character to the appearance. The nose offers fruits like pear, candied oranges, and because this is a tripel, a good whiff of alcohol.

At first, this is an alcoholic and slightly sweet tripel with a few complexities. As with many tripels, this one gets better as it warms, which uncovers extra notes. Alcohol soaked pears are easily noted. The carbonation provides some zestiness. Grassy and floral notes break up the sweet and alcohol flavors. Touch of earthiness too. Pleasantly complex. Despite a body that is nearly full, it's airy, creamy, and the tingling carbonation is well placed.

Can't argue too much with one more quality tripel out of Belgium. Arend Tripel may be a little harder to find in the US, but if you do, give it a chance.

11.2 oz bottle was poured into a tulip glass.

Appearance: The beer is a pale orange color with a small puffy head. It has good clarity and visions of carbonation coming up through the glass. Solid lacing on the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: vanilla, spicines, yeasty esters, apples, pears, bready malts, Belgian candy, and golden raisins.

Taste: Very tastey for a tripel. A little dirty for a tripel, but still a good one. Everything detected during the aroma was present in the taste.

Mouthfeel: smooth, medium bodied, medium carbonation, a bit dry, a bit boozy, and more delicious as it warms.

Overall: This tripel is very interesting. The taste could be a bit cleaner, but all the other festures are there for what you would expect out of the style. Still a solid beer, and would have it again.

This is a very pleasant beer to drink. Smooth and somewhat light, though not since it is a tripel. Don't know if that makes sense, but that is what is hitting my brain as I drink it. I don't really have anything to say on this one except that it is a nice drinkable ale. Nothing showy or out there; just a pretty good beer.

Hitting on all cylinders, Arend Tripel provides a full and juicy palate of fruit an spice with firm herbal bitterness, champagne-like lift, and a semi-dry finish- ideally suited for its high alcohol and hazy golden appearances.

But those appearances start with a billowing separation of beer to foam until the beer settles with a dense mousse-like head that casts over the bright yellow beer. The typical haze of yeast and wheat point toward complexity and flavor to come.

The zesty scent of fruit dance on the malts with grace and playfulness. Lemons, apples, pears, apricot and give character to the bready and light honeyish malts. Balanced by the aroma of pepper, herbs, and freshly mulled grasses, the hops and yeasty spice intertwine for to offset the fruity sweet nose and deliver a snappy accent to the alcohol.

Flavors of juicy fruit, candied lemons, pears, banana, and apples, and fresh baking breads combine on the front of the palate for a sweeter and fruitier introduction. But the rebuttal of coriander, curacao, white pepper, and clove give a dry spiciness that refutes the sweeter start and ushers in a semi-dry finish. Accompanied by floral hops to start, the light notion of honey suckle develops into a soft herbal bitterness accents the bitter taste of alcohol late.

Medium bodied as the beer opens with the creamy malt texture that's beefed up by the spring of zesty carbonation. But the malty weight is soon sheaded and the carbonic prickle brings life to the spicy, bitter, and warmly alcoholic finish for a dryish finish of grass and fruit.

Without trying too hard, the Arend Tripel stands out by conforming to the tripel style with accuracy and precision. For the tripel lover, this beer fits like a glove.

Pours a hazy yellow with a thick, white head that persists surprisingly long.

Aromas are fresh and tart, highlighting citrus, honeysuckle and dry grass with a mineral edge.

Taste is similar the the description of the aroma, with an added malty roundness and light funk that balances the other components nicely.

In was a bit overcarbonated at first but mellows out after a while in the glass, leaving you with a fresh and satisfying long finish. It is one of my favorite Tripels right now.
