On tap in a stemmed tulip glass.

A-Light golden-orange color, one-plus finger fluffy white head and nice lacing. The look is Belgian Ale by the book.

S-Fruity wine-like smell, funky, Belgian wheat.

T- Funky Belgian yeast, fruity, mild spice.

M-Quite dry and tart for the style. Maybe the sweetness is tempered by the relatively low abv for a tripel. Good carbonation and body.

O- I look forword to having more of this beer. It's not the average tripel , seeming less malty and sweet than it should. But I liked it.

Appearance: Cloudy apricot brew, light carbonation, fluffy dense head that lasts awhile and leaves delicate tracing.

Smell: Clean notes of spice, fruit, and that always lovely candied sugar aroma common to Belgian ales. Mild pepper, hoppiness in the back notes.

Taste: Something of a letdown after the aroma, admittedly. Flavors are comparatively muted. Spice, some hints of citrus, light hops.

Mouthfeel: Clean and easy on the palate. No sense of cloying in the aftertaste.

Overall: This is a good beer, and it carries a lot of the characteristics that I find so appealing about Belgian brews. But even for a Tripel, something is missing in the taste. It's fine, certainly drinkable, just not overly enticing.

Lot 25/20/2011. Best before 8/2014.

Pours a murky orange-brown with a foamy orange-tan head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. A foamy latticework of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, fruits, grape juice, and some mild spice aromas. Taste is much the same with a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a good aroma but the taste isn't as good in my opinion.

12 oz bottle was poured into a tulip glass.

Appearance: This beer poured a two inch puffy muffin top head that has reduced to a puffy layer below the rin of the glass. It is a hazey orange amber color with some clarity and bubbles coming up the side of the glass. Crazy lacing on the glass as the beer was drank too.

Smell: Everything one would expect from a triple. Apples, pears, vanilla, spices, golden raisins, yeasty esters, vanilla, bready malts, and Belgian candy.

Taste: Al the flavors mentioned above are there, but they seem a bit light and don't last long. Hugh.

Mouthfeel: smooth, light to medium bodied, a little chewy, some bitterness, and medium carbonation.

Overall: Pretty average tripel for me. The taste good be a bit more cleaner and full bodied. Maybe at 6%, it seems to light for the style. Still good for a Belgium tripel though. Best beore date of 4/14 too.

Lot 25/20/2011, Best before 8/2014

Pours a supremely hazy golden orange with a billowy head that leaves good lacing as it slowly recedes.

Nose is fruity and belgian. Fruit overwhelms any spicy characteristics. Pear and green apple dominate, some bright sugar.

Taste is a bit of a let down. Slight toffee in the finish. Alcohol is pretty prominent, not really hidden at all. Slight pear and candy sugar. Smarties as it warms a bit.

Mouthfeel is highly carbonated and medium with a nice silky texture to it.

Overall this seems a pedestrian tripel but it definitely grew on me throughout the whole experience.

A- Big rocky bubbles of white foam fills the glass. The brew is golden with and orange hew and highly carbonated. As you pour the rest in it becomes unfiltered and a cider like color.

S- Smells of a fruity Belgian yeast. Apples, pears, and a great floral aroma. Flower petals and honeysuckles. Ting of funkiness.

T- Flavor is that of apple and pears, a bit of candy and another fruit I can't put my hand on. There's a slight phenolic taste but not alcoholic. There is somewhat of a dried hop element here. And the taste has the honeysuckle component from the nose.

M- Body is between light and medium and highly carbonated. This is very drinkable. I'm bumping mouthfeel for drinkability.

O- Could easily drink at least 3-4 of these. Not the best tripel but probably one of the few you can have more than just one of. I was pleased with this and hope to see this on tap somewhere.

Wifey picked this one up. Never heard of it before today. Pours a hazy apricot color with a decent amount of off-white foam. I'm getting a lot of malt in the aroma with some strong whiffs of rye. Sniff deeply and there is some apple and light lemon zest...and a hint of orange julius. The taste is interesting. There is sweet up front followed by a bittering, biting aftertaste. Orange and malt on the front of the sip followed by tobacco and taste of leather in the finish. Interesting how this works. Mouthfeel is very distracting. Bubbles a plenty in this. Almost reminds me of a 7-Up with all the carbonation. Overall I thought this was pretty good. Wasn't expecting much but the brew did a nice showing.

Slightly hazy dark straw colour with a foamy white head. Some creaminess.

Plenty of fruity yeast with some light apple, pear and raisin notes. Light malt. Some tartness. Mild hop. Nice.

Rich malt with lots of bitterness, some yeastiness, moderate hopping. Green apple, stone fruit and some other darker fruit notes. Good.

Medium body with moderately-light carbonation. Fine.

A nicely balanced Tripel with plenty of hoppiness and good fruit character.

A - Pours a bright, clear amber, with a medium-hard pour yielding 3 fingers of firm white head. This recedes to a small cap over the course of a minute. A half dozen streamers are visible.

S - Medicinal phenols, clove, a light floral perfume, hay, green apple, grapes, a background tang of grapefruit. Pretty good stuff.

T - Initial hit of green apple moves into a bready middle. Rounded, slight muted caramel moves forward towards the finish. Aftertaste is dusty herbal hops which pleasantly linger along with orange rind keeping the mouth watering.

M - Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium, with soft-medium carbonation. Reasonable, if unremarkable.

D - Many of the flavour and mouthfeel elements remind me of English bitter, which to me don't quite integrate successfully with the Belgian components of the brew. It was ok, but not a beer I'd actively seek out again.

A vibrant tan head sits atop a murky reddish orange brew. Retention and lacing are lacking, but a pleasant grapefruit and lemon aroma quickly redeem. Notes of candied sugar evolve along with a an intriguing hop presence at the very end. Citrusy and involving to the tongue with orange, lemon, grapefruit and white grapes up front. A bit of chalk and bubblegum linger alongside some piny notes. Light to medium and mostly dry. Despite the lack of BA love, this one is working for me right now.

11.2oz brown bottle into a cervoise. The brew appears a clear golden color with more than a finger of off-white head. Rising bubbles of carbonation maintain a creamy layering atop. As the cap fades, some leggy strings of lace stick to the glass. A light swirl revives slightly less than a finger of head.

The smell of this brew has a hint of candy sugar sweetness that blends into a bit of orange marmalade quality. The alcohol is present for 6% abv with a light solvent touch that is almost like burnt rubber. Hops are evident with a lightly cheesy to sulfur quality. The grain imparts a bit of toasty appeal along with some herbal hops.

The taste is initially sweet like candy sugar and orange rind but blends into an herbal quality of hops and solvent alcohol inclusion. There is a bit of toasted biscuit grain flavor. The alcohol has a bit of plastic suggestion overtop of a mildly fruity vinous aspect mixed with sulfur and grass.

This is a medium bodied brew with a moderate amount of carbonation. It finishes dryer than expected based off of the aroma and the first sip. For a tripel, this is a bit of a head scratcher. It has the right color and alcohol warmth for a tripel but at 6% it is certainly on the weaker end of the spectrum and the flavors just dont come together for me. This is a miss, I would not seek it out.

Faintly hazy dark gold, big off-white head steadily shrinking.

Aroma is banana and clove, slightly funky-earthy aroma, mineral, and dough – but all a bit simple and light.

Taste is light, on-deminsional, and thin - lightly funky dough, lemon rind, yeasty bananas. It is too alcoholic, a bit sharp and pepper, and in the end one-dimensional (funky yeasty banana dough with almost nothing else aside from the vague sharp bitterness). It is ok, but uninteresting, thin, and tiresome.
