French beer tour, #5
Poured chilled in small tulip glass
A: slightly cloudy dark amber; large head dissipates quickly (large bubbles); good carb retention
S: not much aroma
T: simple, straightforward white ale; not much in the way of hops; slightly tart; a bit of banana, pear, maybe a dash of lemon; sweet; not bitter; light-roasted malt; light spicing (nutmeg, cinnamon); pleasant overall
not bad, oveall; a good beer for dinner on a hot summer day

A-Pours a hazy apple-cider color w/white head that faded rather quickly, but left some froth around the edges.
S-Light citrus and coriander, faint floral notes, bits of malt.
T-After what I thought was a subtle aroma, I am disappointed by a general bland taste. Not bad, but nothing lifts this brew. Upfront it is crisp, with bits of malt, wheat, and citrus. The finish introduces a bit of herbal character, spice, and a fizzle that washes over the palate, and leaves an aftertaste that is slightly sweet wheat w/hints of hops and spice.
M-Light-bodied and a little off balance. There is more than a bit of wheat character, and I thought this might have more wheat than most wits, but then it would have had a much better head. Carbonation is bold, and perks up the body a bit.
D-Definitely drinkable, but a bit disappointing to the palate with all the other choices out there. After a few sips, it no longer seems bland, and it goes down well enough, but going off of first impressions it didn't grab me.

Sorry but this following comment is in french :
Appearance : jaune paille trouble. Mousse blanche, fine
Smell : agrumes, floral
Taste and mouthfeel : attaque fraîche, suivi par des notes acidulées, sucré, sans grande consistance
Drinkability : un bière BIO de blé assez décevante, par son manque de corps et darômes
