I was very impressed with my first visit to Victory. I had had their products at various brew fest and was looking forward to seeing the place first hand. And I was not disapointed. I especially enjoyed the Victory ESB, very flavorful and full bodied.
The food was fantastic, the pizza was crisp and tasty, the wings were very juicy, and the sausage and trimmings were a hit.

This is the beer place Period. The atmosphere is not conducive with low ceilings and tons of smoke especially in the bar area. The quality of beer is right on most of the time though I've had some bad bad tastes hence the 4.5. Service isgood and quick for ordering food, beer is another ballgame as you have to almost throw your glass at the taptender to get there attention at times, even when it is not busy. Selection of beer can't be beat anywhere for all different styles. The food is not the main attraction but is above average for some items get the fries and a pizza to be safe, the nachos are just to immense to finish and very filling.
Overall one of the best micropubs on the East coast, as I said it's all about the beer but the other qualities would bring the numbers up.

Other than the fact that this place has no atmosphere to speak of, don't let the appearance fool you. The service is great. The food is real good, and the beer is, well, Victory! The servers are well schooled in the various products served. Great pizza! Loved the look of the bar, but had to sit at a table since I took the family. (not unlike many of the other folks there) I can't wait to go back. One word of caution, though. Make sure you do a Mapquest or similar function if you've never been there before. (or rip off the top of the case and take along for directions) Can be real hard to find. Well worth the effort.

Had a hard time finding the brewery due to the fact that it is off a small, uninteresting road that I missed while driving by. The brewpub is an interesting one to rate as it has a nice environment, but no matter what they due to the interior it still feels like a warehouse. Despite the cavernous qualites to the space, it does feel cozy and welcoming. A majority of the oub has a view of the brew facilities through large glass windows. The food selection was quite good and the quality of the entree I had (grilled brat sandwich) was very good as well. The beers speak for themselves so I won't get into them here. Overall, my first Victory experience was one I hope to repeat on future visits to the Philly area.

Good selection of food, well listed and explained
Good service from the staff. Helpful and knowledgable of what they served. Both food and Beer.
The beer list was also very knowledgable, it explained it throughly and simply so that anyone, even those who don't know beer, could understand.
Good atmosphere very well open. Got a tour from rotsaruch of the behind the scenes and the wife and I were very impressed, I can now understand why they are one of the best breweries and create some of the best beers in the USA.

An excellent brewpub with a varied menu and of course Victory Brews. Service and quality were outstanding, including the desserts which seem to be an afterthought at many places. Very highly recommended, if a bit short on atmosphere.

Visited again last Saturday, 06JUN09, with Caitlin. Wow! Has this place changed. Formerly entered and went left along a lengthy bar, which opened up into a large dining area. Lots of industrial metal. Now? Enter and have a hostess stand to your left, a long hall area to the right with booths, a large dining area straight ahead, with a bar to the rear-left. Past there is more dining. The place is much more warm and woody now, with large flags displaying the bier logos hanging from the ceiling. Staff is predominantly young (and yummy!) and very attentive and friendly. Had about 20 biers on tap now, plus some casks. WTF!! Heaven! A jerk-chicken sub was huge, and ever-so-tasty! Caitlin had Weißwurst and enjoyed it, though it was probably more pork than veal. Scored a couple of growlers to go, plus some bombers from their store. A superb experience! Prosit!!

Review of 07JUL02 of first visit. Easy to find the industrial complex it's in, just a little trouble tracking down Victory itself amongst the many buildings. Place was packed on a Wednesday night around 7pm. Long (!) bar and many tables, too. Nice view of the brew-kettles. Had 7 of theirs biers on tap (Sunrise/Lager/Monkey/Sunset/HopDevil/Prima and ESB), plus you could get growlers of these, and take-away sixes of Monkey, HopDevil, Pils and even StormKing! Food was quite tasty. Must visit again in the cooler months, when the darker biers are on tap!

Industrial atmosphere but the beer and food overcome these shortcomings. I really thought it spacious and open moreso than drab. The Workhorse Porter was a dark, almost rich, roasty session beer that went well with the chili we ordered. Unfortunately the Storm King on the beer engine was not available, but the Whirlwind Witbier, and Golden Monkey filled in nicely. The food was top notch and the service went beyond what we expected. Our server also took the time to walk us through the brewery, and seemed proud of what Victory has accomplished in it's short time brewing. I've also heard that this place was hard to find. With internet mapping services it's a cinch. We had no problem whatsoever.

I've taken two trips to Victory and have left both times utterly satisfied. They have about 10-12 of their beers on tap at all times, the selection changes according to the season. Got to try some of the brews that aren't available in bottles. The service was great -- a guy who worked there as a server gave my girlfriend and I a tour of the brewery on his time off the clock -- cool. The food was excellent, especially the wood oven pizzas. The beer, of course, was exceptional. Overall a great experience -- the brewpub is a good reflection of the quality found in Victory beers.
