My homebrew club scheduled a trip and tour of Victory yesterday and we were able to sit at the brewmaster's table right next to the bar afterward - good times for sure -here is my review.
The place is one I am familar with as I had been to the pub several times before the big remodel. The entry is open and the dining area is spacious - beautiful light wood floors and seating arrangements provide plenty of places to sit, stand and with the bar toward the back of the house gives you a chance to look around on your way in at things like the Weyerman malt paddle, beer brand tapestires that include Storm king, Hop Wallop, Golden Monkey and huge Hopdevil sign as well as the original copper brewkettles adorning the bar and brewmaster's table shined up bright.
the first thing we noticed was the service which is both friendly and prompt - we had beers in hand minutes after entering. We got a chance to check out the beer board and bar and our waitress was friendly and helped with beer descriptions. I should have asked about serving sizes though since I only had 3 beers as a result of getting the large every time -(not rquesting a smaller size).
The selection runs the gamut of draft -10 beers, cask -4 and bottles -3 - killer! they had all of the flagships and seasonal selections plus a few new beers on like Strangeways golden and Bottum's up brown. The Braumeister pils was fresh and delicious, the Esb and Bitter both tasty, the only thing I missed was Yakima Twilight which was past its season evidently.
The food was served in big portions and was fresh - I had the Cajun tuna wrap. I found it to be good but not outstanding. I will have to try the Brisket or brewmaster selection hearth baked pizza. I love the pizza options and the have bison grinders and my brother enjoyed duck so there are plenty of choices including options for vegetarians and the onion soup was delicious!
The best part was the pricing which was very reasonable - I had the wrap 10bucks, soup 5 and 3 beers 13.5, plus the growler I took home was only 7.50- excellent. I was pleased with the experience...almost everyone in the group didn't want to leave, the tour was pretty standard, but it was nice to check out the upgrades to the brewing equipment and they were brewing while we were there which was cool.
Definitely one of the best brewpub experiences I think I have had- must check out Victory if you haven't been.

Only had the chance to visit the brewpub once while I was living in Philly. Very large brewpub area, but was still packed. Good quality and diverse beers available on tap. My friend and I each got a sampler and shared to hit pretty much everything on the list. Nothing disappointed and the majority were very solid brews. We both got pizzas, but neither one of us thought they were that good - both tasted like cheap frozen pizzas. Don't know about the rest of the menu though. Service was excellent when we were there despite it being busy. If I was ever back in the area, I would definitely stop by again.

The service was quite horrible. Since it was just myself my wife and daughter, we seemed very unimportant to her. She forgot or ignored our drink order, and I was forced to go to bar to get them myself. It was greatly disappointing. The potential here was great but overall I would pass when there are so many other great options in the area.

We were seated very quickly. Upon being led to our table, we were in a very large room with what I described to my dining partner as a "caffeteria feel". There was a very large party in the room (maybe 30 people) who were very loud. I had never been impressed with Victory's beer in the bottle at home, but I thought I'd give it another try since it had been a while. I got a sampler of 5 different beers. Honestly, I don't have much good to say about the beer. I did enjoy the Scarlet Fire Rauchbier, but only because I had paired the smokey, bacony flavor with my food just right. I wouldn't drink it by itself. The food was very good, but the selection was a little lacking.
Overall, I don't understand what all the hype over Victory is... I've read reviews and maybe I'm not drinking the same beer, but of the 5 breweries I visited in PA that weekend, this was by FAR the worst.

This is a great place to come on a Friday or Saturday night when you want to have a good beer with good friends and not have to deal with the people congestion at other larger establishments near by. I come for the beer not the food as should you unless youre looking for just bar food like a pretzel then it's fine. Now living on the West Coast I get very happy when I find a place that carries Victory beer.

Classic brewery setup in the middle of a warehouse/industrial complex in Downingtown PA. Great beer and great people, the brewery gets constant traffic with beer lovers filing in and out to fill up growlers but also to enjoy a bite to eat; the food here is above average for a brewery. The bar tenders get creative if you visit, for instance serving up something called a "silver back" which is a combination of storm king stout and the brewery's famous Belgian style ale, golden monkey. Worth a visit.

Oh! why is this beer heaven five hours from my home? Tough place to find, some back streets then into an industrial park. Walking inside, if I squinted I could be in Germany. This place is large, with several rooms, or halls rather. We sat at a booth. Service was OK, food was good- but I came for neither (the only time bad service bothers me is when I can't get a first beer or am ignored by a server). With Hopdevil on cask and $10 growler fills of Storm King Stout I was in heaven. It was like meeting famous folks at home- I've admired Victory beer for years. I will be back, almost worth the five hour drive in itself.

Took a road trip here in mid July. I had heard great things about this brewpub and I figured that it was about time that I got down there to check it out. The pub was hopping pretty well even though it was after lunch time. The pub area is very spacious lots of neat banners and things to look at from anywhere in the place. The bar looked packed for a Saturday afternoon but seemed like it was the place to be. We took a table and ordered a few beers and some food. The service was very good and the wait time for the drinks and food was minimal. The beer selection was really quite good and it should be since they make all of them on the premises. The food was very good, cooked to our liking and very filling. The store was pretty nice too with some interesting merch available at a decent price. Overall it was a fun experience, it's not my favorite brewery but it was nice to finally get down there to check it out.

Visited the brewpub recently. The selection is excellent with many of there beers on tap with three of them also available on hand pull. The area is spacious with a lot of bar space available. The menu seemed to have many options. The items myself and my friend had were both very good. The quality of the beers was decent. A few really strong selections with others made for the masses. Overall a great experience. No tours were available. The merchandise store was also well priced. Flights of whatever combination you want are available too.

My family members have a house about ten minutes away from here, so I stop by whenever I'm in the area. It would be a regular stop for me if I wasn't over an hour away, as I can't really get my beloved HopDevil Ale any fresher than this!
Atmosphere: Well, it's kind of weird. There are two doors that you can go into: a main door that leads to the restaurant/bar part, and a side door the leads to the beer store. However, the beer store door is confusing at first visit; you suddenly find yourself dumped into the back of the dining section and next to a small arcade. You then have to follow an annoyingly narrow hallway for twenty feet or so, and then the beer store is the last doorway on the left. It's a small store with clothes racks clogging up the center of the floor. They really need more space for the beer store. However, when you walk through the dining area and into the main hall, it really opens up. Also, the bar is pretty freaking big.
Quality: You can't get Victory brews much fresher than this; this is where the beer is created and awaits thirsty patrons by the case in the beer store, or by the growler full.
Service: I didn't eat there, so I can't say about the waiting staff or bar staff, but the guys at the register in the store were nice, and obviously knowledgeable, as they were having a conversation about how long one should allow an IPA to sit before it loses its freshness.
Selection: They have cases of their most popular brews in the beer store; other than that, I'm not sure, as I haven't eaten or drank there.
Value: The prices for cases are average, but their glasses in the beer store are crazy cheap. I believe it was about three bucks for a nice Victory pint glass, and seven bucks for a goblet.
Overall: A place that you need to stop at if you're in the area and like Victory brews. You can't get much fresher!
