Pours a clean orange-ish color with an off white head. In the aroma, mellow dry hops, with a note of citrus. In the taste, a dry and mellow citrus hop, but quite muted. A small hop bit and a lighter bodied mouthfeel, with a dryer small hop in the aftertaste. Mellow hops and a bit thin. I would have never thought this was 9%.

On tap at Victory. Served in a sample glass. Chinook version. I can certainly tell. Earthy and a bit dank and all around slightly harsh. Super bitter and dry. Chinook heavy.

Bronzed orange in color with a delicate head peach-white in color. Sticky lacing. 3.5

Spicy pine and citrus hops with grapefruit notes floating in aromatic oils of spruce, orange rind, and mace. Interesting nose. 4.0

Woah, buddy... this is near-intense with the Chinook. Leafy hop cone flavors push pinewood, bitter orange, lemon zest, and floral astringencies. Big-time bitterness with hops overpowering the pale malts. A little sweet, a lot hoppy; this is a great 'get-it-in' hop fix. 4.0

Feels naturally big, but not heady. Drinks well. Worked out okay with this pint glass pour. Soft body, soft carbonation. Not your typical DIPA monster in body and feel. Ranch is a heavy-duty IPA or a DIPA Lite... and I like that. 4.0

Great beer. Keep 'em comin', Victory! 4.0

Victory Ranch Chinook

Look: Pours a copper orange with excellent clarity. Short livid oily head sticks to the glass with lacing.

Smell: Earthy hops, pine sap/resin and a loft of estery alcohol aromas.

Taste: Earthy, dirty hops, some more pine and sappy resin. Strongly bitter, with a mild alcohol bite. Grapefruit rind and lots of herb.

Feel: Medium bodied and somewhat thick and chewy. Moderate to low carbonation.

Overall: Another fine limited edition double IpA from victory. Yet another beer I wish was more available.
