The beer pours out a rust colored orange with a thick rocky white head. Nice gobs of la e along the walls of the glass as it empties. Wonderful aroma of orange is at the forefront with a hint of pine and possibly caramel malt.
The taste is Equally hoppy, but not overly bitter except on the finish. No real hint of the high alcohol content. The citrus like hops dominate with a break bready malt appearance to give it some depth and helps create a medium bodied brew. Very enjoyable and dangerously drinkable. Lacks the depth and complexity of finer double IPAs, but I wouldn't mind having it again.

On-tap 2/22/2013 at Track 84 in Warwick, RI, served in a tulip glass.
A: The beer is a deep amber color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains a nice blend of fruity citrus, floral hops and caramelized malts.
T: The taste starts out sweet with strong flavors of citrus and caramel. Then an earthy hops bitterness comes in. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly hoppy.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, good kick, good representation of style, this is a very good 2IPA to drink for a long time.
