Overall a good beer. Pours a light golden color in a glass, with good visible carbonation. A good head, although it disappears in a matter of minutes. A bitter taste at first, but finishes with a good balance of malt, hops, and a hint of wheat and lemon rinds. Not the best out of Victory Brews, but definitely one of my favorite summer ales. Great for its class. Given that I prefer beers with a strong hop presence, I give it a 9/10.

Served on-tap in a Shaker pint at Beer Run (Charlottesville, VA).
A: Clear honey-golden with short cap of fuzzy off-white head with a skimpy bit of lace at the top of the glass.
S: Grassy and fruity citrus aroma, very nice fresh hops aroma with a little bit of lemon and floral character as well. Malt notes are small but not missing. No real yeast character as it should be.
T: A really crisp, clean beer, although the flavor is good through mid drink but misses on the bitterness (a little too bitter) and the hoppy finish (a little underhopped and really under dry-hopped) that the aromas promise. Maltiness is inobtrusive but supports the hops well with some crackery malt character.
M: Clean and crisp as the style should be with medium to medium-high carbonation and light body.
O: Not a beer I would order all that often, but at the right price point, I could see picking this up occasionally. I could see myself brewing a slightly hoppier version myself for sure, but there is no big flaw in this beer. Solid and enjoyable.

Pours a bright clear and clean straw yellow with a own finger bright white head.
Smells of some grassy malty hay notes with a touch of mustiness. There's some bready sweetness in there.
Taste starts off with an herbal peppery subtle hop note mixed with a clean caramelized brown sugar malty sweetness. Touch of burnt caramel on the end.
Mouthfeel is fairly high in carbonation which helps give this beer it's initial bite feeling on the tongue. Fairly light with a touch of viscosity to give it somewhat of a thicker character than soda.
Overall, this is an ok beer but a good poolside offering. I would have this again at a BBQ on a hot day but otherwise it doesn't have the best blend of flavors for my taste. Still it's above an average beer by far.

Bottle > Pint Glass
A - Pours a light completely clear straw/light gold color, shy of a finger head, minor lacing.
S - Some grains and light malt, a little yeast.
T - Tastes like a pilsner, I dont really get any of the Simcoe hops in here at all, just a little minor bite from the german hops.
M - Light, refreshing for summer.
O - Eh, could do without, but its not awful.
