On-tap at the Brick Store.
Pours a hazy lemon-yellow color with a one-finger white head. The head recedes into a wispy layer on top leaving decent lacing.
Smells of lemon peel mostly with hints of spicy and somewhat floral hops. As the beer warms the malt aromas wake up and are joined by mild amounts of breadiness.
Tastes similar to how it smells. Light malt flavors kick things off and are joined quickly by solid amounts of light citrus - mostly lemon but with hints of orange. Midway through the sip the hop flavors turn the least bit spicy before carrying through to a crisp and mildly bitter ending.
Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with moderate carbonation.
Drinkability is also good. I finished my glass with no problem and could have another.
Overall I thought the Tettnanger version was much better - this was almost a hybrid of their pilsner and a wit. Still, an interesting beer that's worth a shot.

On tap at Victory Brewing Company in Kennett Square, PA.
This one pours a light golden yellow, with orange tints, a tight white head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like bready malt, a nice level of grassy hops, and some light lemon.
This is a no frills and great hop accented lager. The hop character is great, lemon and grassiness, but I wish the malt character was a little deeper.
This is light bodied, very crisp, with a good level of carbonation.
One of the better American made pilsners for sure, but lacks the malt richness of the best German examples.

Served in 10 oz chalice glass
Appearance – Served a hazy yellow color with a large white head that faded fast. Upon fading a little lacing was left on the glass.
Smell – The smell is more citrus hop with a nice bit of wheaty bready aroma mixed with a pepper spicy aroma and an ever so lighter tropical fruit aroma.
Taste – The taste is a bit of sweeter wheat malt up front. The hop flavor really then starts to come into play. Very lemony citrus in nature with a bit of pine. There is a nice peppery flavor that comes more toward the end of the taste. The mix of the peppery lemon and wheat go on to take the brew to its taste finish and leave a rather crisp flavor on the tongue as an aftertaste.
Mouthfeel – The mouthfeel is on the medium to lighter side with a good level of carbonation. It is rather good for the style, but nothing of extraordinary greatness.
Overall – This was a refreshing brew that was very easy to drink. Good for a nice sunny warm day while sitting and lounging around outside.
