Served cold in a pint glass from a bottle
Appearance: A tasty looking amber hued brown, this is a rather dark beer which still has good clarity. Off white to khaki head consisting of very fine bubbles.
Smell: A very malty smell, with some rather strong hints of cherry in its sweetness. I could smell this beer well before I brought it anywhere near my nose. Very nice.
Taste: The cherry in the nose is neatly subdued and co-opted by the deep smooth maltiness of this beer. It is able to be very malty without being thick or heavy in the least. Clean and clear in flavor, with some darker fruit flavors following up. A very round yet compact profile here, with an easy finish.
Mouthfeel: Clean, fresh, and light, despite the color and depth of flavor. Ends with a dry astringency, but is really quite refreshing.
Drinkability: I could drink this on a very regular basis, if only it had longer availability. Great stuff.
This is a beer worth looking for, and I don't really understand why it doesnt prompt a little more talk, except for the fact that it is a lager, and not a strong or hoppy one. Well made, delicious, and not heavy, it is an exceptional seasonal.

First had: on tap at Blind Tiger, NYC, NY
Standard, easy drinking option. Tarnished copper brown color with a finger or so of tan head. Aroma of grains and malts, essentially nothing else, as promised by the "All Malt" label. Simple taste, malts, roasted malts, and more malts, followed by a mild herbal hoppiness. Bit of an astringent aftertaste. Medium-bodied and easily drinkable.
