Poured from a 12oz bottle into a "Maudite" tulip.

A - Dark,opaque black with a hint of ruby around the edges. Big tan head with good lacing.

S - Bitter chocolate, licorice, touch of dark fruit.

T - Bitterness its you first, a little hot booziness mellows to bitter chocolate, a touch of licorice, a little dark fruit, then a dry hoppy finish.

M - Medium High carbonation. A little too much for this style. Wanted it to be a bit creamier.

D - Medium Low. Bitterness and alcohol taste doesn't make this go down real easy.

This beer is all over the place for me. Flavors aren't really meshing and the bitterness is over the top for me at least. Not a bad beer, but not one I will be going back to any time soon.
