On cask at The Three Judges in Glasgow, June 2oo9
Pours quite a dark amber/red with a creamy, thick moussy head
The aroma was lightly fruity with a firm bready malt
Buttered biscuits and cookie dough malt begin the taste. Fresh floral hops were fruity, raspberries and strawberries even. Not too complex but well balanced. Finishes dry
Mouthfeel: Quite chewy, lightly carbonated with a medium and soft carbonation

I sampled a few pints of this in the Castle Tavern, Inverness.
The beer poured an amber colour with a white head that displayed very good retention.
A very bitter, sharp, hoppy nose, not very pleasant, almost reminiscent of vinegar.
Hops dominate the initial taste with a pleasant fruity (berries) aftertaste, not complex in any way, but very pleasant. The beer had a surprisingly light mouthfeel.
I enjoyed the few pints, I would definitely have it again. However it was nothing to shout about in the beer market, worth a pint but I wouldn't go out of my way for another.

A- dark ruby amber hue, creamy 1 finger thick head
S- lots of fruits - i always seem to get pineapple from english pale ale. A touch of malty honey sweetness - not too much. Hoppy bitterness even in the nose.
T- explosion of fruits - pineapple again, maybe peaches and some sort of cherry. Hoppy bitter finish but still well balanced
M- low carbonation with a chewy feel.
D - This was a typical example of a good pale ale - lots of fruits and fresh hops. Very sessionable - lots more character than others within the style. Still afraid english pale ale just doesnt do it for me though.

Tasted by half-pint at the GBBF 06, where this beer was awarded a joint Bronze medal along with Surrey Hills Shere Drop in the Best Bitters category. Served by a hand-pump.
A: dark reddish amber hue, coming with a off-white fluffy beer head, low carbonated.
S: incredibly fruity hops upfront, full of peaches and dried berries, plus ripe lychee fruits on top of a sweet caramely malty overtone. Intense and aromatic hoppy, yet balanced. US hops leave a hallmark on the aroma.
T: an initially fruity palate leads quickly to a profound and manifesting tea-leafy hop bitter aftertaste, very chewy in terms of fresh hops and almost effectively "shattering" my taste-buds... slightly tannic too at the root of the tongue plus lingering bitterness knowing no boundaries.
M&D: softly fizzy on the mouthfeel, medium-bodied, not too complex in the flavour profile and featuring an incredible length and depth of bitterness. A great session bitter with plenty of hops to boot! Well done, Kelburn!

NERAX 2006 (Sat)
Coppery glassful of beer with a low head.
High, fruity scent of orange and apricot.
Sweet apple, apricot and pear with a sour citron finish and lingering resin.
This is really tasty. I wish I hadn't waited until the last day to try it, but it's held up nice.

Served @ NERAX 2004 in a pint a glass.
Obvious red color ... I swear they poured me some koolaid. Thin bubbly lace. Floral notes turn to citric and then ripe berries and fruit punch twang. Solid biscuity malt with a mild trail of husk middle to end. A decent cask and well worth the try.
