iPhone notes: served on tap at Applebees in Piscataway NJ. Standard shaker pint glass.
Pours reddish amber with lots of foam and prominent lacing. Light caramel nose. Toffee too, but hard to pick up. Taste is a very bready malt with loads of flavor. Chewy. Smooth mouthfeel and just a touch of biter. Balanced works completely. Real good. 425 375 425 4 425

On-tap at Little Town NJ, Hoboken, NJ
A: The beer is clear dark amber in color and does not have any visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high off white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of caramel malts are present in the nose along with some hints of sweetness.
T: The taste has flavors of caramel malts with bits of sweetness and hints of fruity yeast. No bitterness is apparent, although there are enough underlying hops to prevent the beer from being too sweet.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink, goes down easily and is a good representation of the style.

12 oz. bottle poured into a tumbler
A- Amber-red, as promised, with a light tan half finger head. Retains well, and produces some rings of lacing.
S- Sweet malt, slight caramel, overshadowed by a subtle spicy citrus hop. A little spruce-like.
T- Interesting, caramel and bread, mostly. Some sips seemed to have various intensities of hop character, but the hop was more mild than I was expecting.
M- Medium body with a crisp dry finish.
O- Not bad. The bottle states over and over that it is hoppy, but I thought it didn't seem over the top.
