This inspired Belgian-style Trippel has a hazy golden hue and the aroma of citrus with hints of banana and clove. Predominant Belgian malt flavors give way to a subdued bitterness in the finish.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours deep orange yellow with a fluffy white head. Smells of sweet wheat and slight banana and other fruitiness. Tastes of banana with berries and citrus tones. Beer is medium bodied yet still easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

This is probably the best to come out of Flying Fish, especially since they stopped selling their porter some years back. Nice citrus flavor to this trippel, worth a try :)

Poured from a 12 oz bottle with a BB date of 30 March 2018.
Slightly hazy amber body topped by a modest size but durable, off-white head that completely coats the glass when tipped.
Moderate-high spicy and yeasty for style with bready malts that may be a touch less prominent than average.
High ABV shows more in the flavor and feel than in the aroma.
Medium-high carbonation in a medium body.

As far as I could tell it is a fairly middle-ground trippel. The hops bitterness reminded me of homebrew.

So tired of IPAs. Got this one by mistake. From the label, thought it was the much better, more potent blueberry ale Flying Fish produces.

Still, as far as IPAs go, this isn't bad. It definitely has the hops funk in taste and smell. It's ever so sweet - just a little bit mixed with the bitterness. A bit too watery for my tastes.

For those still very much into IPAs, give this one a shot. It probably won't be the best you've had, but you may find that it fits the bill well enough with its 9.5% ABV.

Amber golden color with a thick off-white head with great retention and leaving laces.
Sweet aroma with notes of caramels, pine, apple and pear juice, biscuit, cloves, orange marmalade, banana and honey.
Flavor with notes of pine, cloves, brandy, caramels, booze, caramel malts and a bit of bubblegum. Dry aftertaste with medium bitterness and an alcoholic finish.
Medium to full body with calm carbonation relatively to style. Alcohol of 9.5% is felt but as expected for Tripels.
Sweet malty and phenolic Tripel, still hoppy. Its robust malty base undermines its hops. I found this a bit cloying, but has a different complexity than usually seen in the style.

Bottle stamp is "Use By 05-09-18".

A - Amber gold in color with a soapy white lacing.

S - Pears, malt, and spice.

T - Spicy malt and pears.

M - Medium body.

O - This beer is a total identity mess. Can NJDOT somehow close this exit? Tongue in cheek, but this beer just doesn't work unfortunately.

An average trippel with a good kick. The aroma was minimal as was the taste. Not great, but not bad. Decent beer for socializing at a party and keeping the buzz going.
