Nice golden color, with a small but sustaining head.

The Aroma is nice and fruity, I get hints of tropical fruits, oranges and apples. It also has slight hints of a malt characteristic, though definitely not roasted malts.

The taste is good, but leaves a lot to be desired. Decent bit of hops with the bread like character of malt. The most prominent flavor is orange rind. But I feel like this is missing something to make it complete, like possibly a sweeter fruity note.

The finish is the orange rind just fading away slowly.

The mouth feel also leaves quite a bit to be desired, the carbonation is there but it all tastes rather acidic. Which leads to the drinkability. This beer is nice and refreshing, but the whole time I feel like its stripping away at my mouth.

A - pours a slightly hazy coppery amber, darker towards top than bottom. 2.5 fingers of head dissipating slowly. Low carbonation.

S - some fruitiness of the bat with sweet malts, a faint bit of hops. Not overloaded whatsoever.

T - strange, in a good way. Very unique. Somewhat sweet yet tangy notes. A bit of orange citrus. English malts are somewhat heavy.

M - smooth yet tart. Crisp finish. Light to medium bodied.

O - decent. Drinkable but not overall a huge fan. A lighter IPA for sure.

Flying Fish Brewing Company - HopFish IPA

Look - Almost clear copper amber with a good sized soapy head. Some chunky lacing.

Smell - Deep caramel malts with slight piney resin hops over it. Just OK.

Taste - Malty English tangy with some bitter resin hops. Generally kinda taste compared to the other aspects, but not amazing.

Mouthfeel - Slight bitter dry like most EIPAs. Not boozy. Fairly drinkable but generally blah.

Overall - Good, but certainly not great. I have never been a big fan of EIPAs and this is not one of the few that I have had that is an exception to the rule. Would not get again, generally would not recommend.

They forgot the taste in this one!! Opens and pours to almost perfect hue, nice sudsy head. Bring to your nose, smells decent, not great, maybe hope for some substance as it goes down your pallet.

But...

Then...

You...

Actually...

Drink it...

And it dies a quick death on the taste buds. For a split second it tastes like it has potential. Then
NOTHING!! No taste, no citrus, no floral, nothing.

Oh well, it was worth the try. I guess. No wait, no it wasn't. :(
