On draft at Buffalo Wild Wings in Lubbock, TX.
The beer is clear and light golden with a pure white head. The aroma is mild, offering grain, slightly sweet, a hint of fruit. A bit of toast and mild sweetness in the flavor. Pretty bland, but a good chaser for washing down some hot wings.

A: Golden and clear, thin white head.
S: Bready, floral, slight hops, very sweet. Candy like notes.
T: Pretty clean and very sweet with a bready body and a floral hop that isn't overpowering. Somewhat complex, but a little too sweet for me.
M: Smooth, goes down easy.
O: Just too sweet for me, but an interesting brew. Glad I gave it a shot.

Served on tap at Opal Divine's Marina in Austin, TX
A: Pours a crystal clear medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a half finger tall dense white head that slowly reduces to a medium sized patch of very thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of bready malts along with some fruity yeast and light amounts of grassy hops.
T: Light to moderate amounts of malty sweetness upfront with some bready malts as well. There are some notes of fruity yeast and just a touch of lemon citrus. The finish has a moderate amount of grassy hops and a light amount of bitterness which does not linger.
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp.
O: Easy to drink as the mouthfeel is light and the flavors refreshing and thirst quenching - definitely sessionable. This would be a great beer for drinking on a hot Austin summer day, especially if you were outside doing yard work. I enjoyed this one.

A. Clear pale yellow with plenty of rising bubbles and a white head. Not too much retention.
S. The glass needs to be swirled around pretty vigorously to get much of an aroma but what comes up is sweeter than I was expecting. A mix of honey, malts and bubblegum.
T. Not quite as sweet in the taste, but sweeter than I prefer. Some nice noble hop notes. Almost a pilsner-like grassiness that's very pleasant.
M. Very light and crisp but the sweetness takes away from it.
O. I'm not familiar enough with Kolsch to rate it to style but I don't think I'd go for this again. A good German or Czech style pilsner is what I go for on a hot day, and there are plenty of hot days in south central Texas. This beer is just a little too cloying to cut through the heat for me.

Appearance- Clear straw colored. Thick, stark white head. Bits of spider web lacing left behind. 3.5/5
Smell- Crisp hop aroma and very small malt smell. 3.5/5
Taste- Very balanced. I can't decide if the hops are more of a flavor or not. Throughout the sip there are crisp, slightly grassy hops and some sweet malt to back it up. Small amount of bitterness right in the middle. 3.5/5
Mouthfeel- Better than some, but still what you would expect from the style. 3.5/5
Overall- Good, easy drinking beer. 3.5/5

A: pours a clear golden color in a pint glass, slight lacing down glass. Nice thin layer of foam on top.
S: Maltly nose with a nice balanced light hoppiness about it.
T: Taste is of malt and hop just light in flavor. Not heavy and weighty light without being "light".
M: As stated nice light body and consitancy without being watery and light.
O: Could easily drink this on a nice warm summery day just hanging out doing nothing with a group of people or maybe
Bocce.

On tap at a local pub, 105 degrees outside and was looking for a solid summer beer.
A: Lawnmower pours a slightly hazy straw yellow. It formed some head, with very good retention. Surprisingly good lacing as well.
S: Smelled a bit like an orange grove, citrus and light grassy hop notes.
T: Just like it smelled, although more lemon flavor over orange, and the lemon powered over the hops.
M: This beer was light and clean. Very mild mouthfeel, and it was as refreshing as water.
O: This is definitely a beer for the summer, I could see myself drinking several out in the sun. Less watery than the Saint Arnold Summer Pils but somehow more refreshing. I don't think I'd pick this one up in any other season though...

Served on-tap into a pint glass.
A: Pale straw colored yellow with white foamy head. Served really cold, so it was hard to see through frosty glass.
S: Grains and light malts in the nose with slight lemon aroma.
T: This beer went from a very clean/clear start to having a few more flavors come out as it warmed up. I tasted notes of lemon, honey and finally grass.
M: Thin, crisp and clean. Perfect for some hot weather drinking.
O: Overall, I didn't think anything about this beer was extraordinary. At first sight, smell, taste, it appears simple. However, calling it simple does not do it justice. This simplicity is what makes this beer an excellent option on a hot day or against the many lesser quality options available.

Grassy yellow colored with a low white head that settles out quickly. Low aroma of doughey malt and some corn notes. Flavors fairly match the nose - doughey malt and mild corn notes, moderate hop bitterness, delicate flavors, good example if the style. Slightly watery mouthfeel, finishes with tingly carbonation, followed by a mild pepper spice.

$6 on tap at The Chimes in BR... new to our market but I believe I've had these before in Texas.
Comes out in an imperial pint, clear golden color, not a whole lot of head, but I guess on a bar pour you don't want too much anyway.
Smells bready, with a faint hop trace to it. Again nothing too special.
The taste is more of the same, nothing really standing out, but nothing really bad either.
Extremely refreshing and easy to drink. Like the name says, this would be a fantastic beer to grab after mowing the lawn on a hot summer day.

Aptly named - I can certainly see several of these going down quite nicely on a summer day. Clean malt flavor with minimal hopping. A light citric note intertwines vague grassy touches. Reminds me of an old school pils back when the macro brewed made stuff that at least tasted like beer.

Pours 1 finger of white head. Color is a clear straw yellow.
Aroma: Bland from the get-go. Grains, corns, and a slight amount of floral hops.
Taste: More floral hops shine through here. It has a fruity boutique flavor. Grassy and earthy with some bready malts. Corn.
Mouthfeel: Crisp, dry, and clean. Lighter bodied with a medium amount of carbonation. Ends very dry.
Overall, fairly basic kolsch. Not too much flavors, but I didn't expect a lot. Taste is better than the nose. Probably not something I would want to drink very much of. Much better kolshs out there.

On tap at the Flying Saucer in San Antonio.
Pours a golden yellow color and is very slightly hazy with very pale yellow edges when held to a light source and a one finger frothy white headthat quickly settles into a lasting ring. Sporadic spots of lacing left behind.
The nose on this beer is kind of bland with hits of earthy hops, subtle light fruit, light malts and straw. I'm picking up faint apple but all of these notes are a bit of a stretch and difficult to pick out.
Medium bodied and fuller than I expected with a nice crisp hop bite up front that provides a nice dry bitterness which is balanced out by pale malts, grass, straw and light apple and pear notes. Well balanced and very quaffable, especially in the hot ass weather down here.

Apperearnce: deep golden color, fleeting white head.
Smell: grainy, roasted malts.
Taste: Pleasantly suprised, roasted malts with a mild nutty flavor gave away to subtle floral hops.
Mouthfeel: light, some carbonated tingle.
Drinkability: it was 85 degrees, I was outside, very refreshing and easy-drinking. A great beer after you get done mowing the lawn.

On-tap at the Flying Saucer in San Antonio, TX.
Pours a clear straw color with a half-finger white head. The head recedes into a thin layer on top leaving solid lacing.
Smells of straight pale malts with good amounts of leafy and lightly grassy hops. Also present as the beer warms are very light hints of pears.
Tastes similar to how it smells. Sweet pale malt flavors kick things and are joined quickly by earthy and grassy hops. Midway through the sip the hops fade allowing the flavors to sweeten again, carrying through to an ending that manages to be neither bitter nor sweet.
Mouthfeel is OK. It's a tad on the thin side with carbonation a bit on the high side.
Drinkability is good. I finished my glass quickly and could have another without a problem.
Overall I thought this was a nice beer although I'd like a crisper differentiation in flavors - the hops seem to run into the malt flavors instead of working with them. Still, an easy-drinker and it's worth a shot.

Had 2/4 at the Sheraton Hotel in Dallas
A: This beer pours a hazy light straw yellow with a 1/2 inch of white head. Head retains decently leaving wispy lacing on the glass.
S: Nose is rather buttery with some vanilla hints.
T: Taste is buttery through and through. Hints of vanilla, caramel malts and then spiciness comes in with hints of fruit, some apple and banana.
M: Medium body, medium carbonation, creamy and almost velt like on the tongue.
D: Goes does quite easily, not a great representation of the style, however a very tasty beer that I enjoyed a few pints of.

On tap at their new brewery location. Awesome name for a beer btw!
A: copper in color with minimal head and virtually zero lacing.
S: malt and faint earthy tones. Not much here.
T: light and malty with some yeast. A little bland, but fitting for the style. Nothing interesting to report, unfortunately; blame the German purity laws.
M: light- to medium-bodied with moderate carbonation.
D: lightish mouthfeel & taste lend well to easy drinking.

Arrived with a finger's worth of bone-white head with low retention. Color was a light, pale yellow with NE-quality clarity. Nose had a pleasant, lager-like sweetness. Mouthfeel was medium with a light honey-like taste on the tongue. Finish was soft, slightly dry and definitely refreshing. Lawnmower beer, indeed!

This beer has a light and see through straw color to it, and a head that hardly lasts.
The taste is light, but definitely malty. I do not recognize the hops as much as I would expect considering their other beers, but it is tasty as can be.
A very refreshing beer and I would enjoy this beer with a light fish or chicken meal.

A: had this on-tap at a texas rangers baseball game. slightly lighter than honey, with a decently thick, 1 finger eggshell white head that did NOT disapate.
S: not super strong, you can get a bit of maltiness balanced by bitterness that I cant quite recoginze as hops.
T: pretty good, (not too bad) but certainly not outstanding. the bitterness wins out over the maltiness but both are present.
M: really faily THIN.
D: maybe not hi quailty stuff but SUPER drinkable. Maybe that's what they werer trying for. This would make a good beer to drink by the sixer. Way better than the rice-based macros!

Ordered this as a first beer at the Flying Saucer in Houston. Wanted to try a local beer and begin the hot evening with a light and refreshing beer. This certainly fit the bill. I enjoyed it quite a bit..
The beer was very bright gold with excellent clarity. No head, no visible carbonation and no lacing.
The aroma was very light and of light bread and slight sweetness.
The flavor was interesting and while I would never describe this as nutty, the first flavor that came to mind was almonds. I have no idea why, but it was there. Slightly sweet, very bread like. And crisp.
Mouth feel was very light an carbonation is mild. Indeed it is refreshing and very drinkable. I would say this beer is spot on for what it's trying to be.
A light, crisp and refreshing beer to drink when it's hot.
Good Job Saint Arnold.

Presentation: Poured from draft tap into 22oz plastic cup at the Rangers game. Not exactly the ideal review spot, but good enough.
A: Pours a pretty pale golden color, no head to speak of although could be who was pouring it not knowing any better. Laces on a plastic cup which impressed me for the style and the presentation.
S: Smells like a pale lager style beer, but I'm also getting some apple notes here. As I swirl the glass I get some nice fruity notes including apple, pear, and some citrus. Really a great smell especially as a summer beer this one works well.
T: Lots of spices like coriander, maybe some very muted clove or cinnamon, some pear and apple in the taste. Pretty impressive compared to how it looks. I don't want to give the impression this tastes like an apple cinnamon pie or a cider because it doesn't at all, but imagine a really good pale lager and adding those elements in very subtle quantities. The result would be this beer. It's really fantastic.
M: Carbonation is about perfect and stays that way the whole time I drink it, body is surprisingly good for a paler beer, but could use more creaminess.
D: Most pale beers tend to have a skunky aftertaste to me, this beer is not necessarily an exception, but on the very lowest end of the spectrum. I could drink these all day and not complain a bit about it. It will drink better when cold, but is still VERY drinkable as it warms something I cannot say for any other beer that I know that's even close to this.

After a hot sweaty day in Austin this beer was a welcome treat. 16 oz. pint poured a pale straw color with a decent white head that eventually dissipated leaving some lacing. Somewhat hazy appearance. This beer is delicate all around (as is the kölsch style). Slight lemony aroma and crisp malt flavor with a clean citrus finish. Very light, yet balanced. High drinkability due to the lighter body and lower alcohol.
