I pulled up to the bar and got the Jacob I was told it was an English beer, but American. Ok..
Pours a very light amber. Average white head and pretty good lacing. Just a bit different look than the red.
Some earthy hops up front in the aroma. Malt was weak and light.
Like the red ale, this was over carbonated. Flavors were weakened and overshadowed. Seltzer feeling. Hollow

On tap at Dostal Alley poured a clear reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of carmel, graininess, earthiness and light butterscotch. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and light graininess with a smooth dry malty finish.

Sometimes know as the Brown :). Served a more chestnut brown color with decent clarity and one of the better head retentions of the Dostal Alley beers. Limited lacing.
The nose is light overall but some noticeable roast quality. Some minor toffee notes but still clean. Some light yeast notes as well.
The taste is a little more descript than what the nose indicates. There is a light malt flavor with roasted malt coming out. Some minor caramel and toffee notes but is buried behind the roast. Overall the malt is light which supports the roast. Some minor earthy hops are detectable on the back and as well. There is a sudsy flavor that is common on all Dostal Alley that is a bit off. Clean yeast flavors, would have like more of an English backing but ok.
The body is light as is for style. There is a bit of a watery taste that helps leave a wispy finish. Overall a little odd with the stronger roast flavor but for style its ok.
