This brewery visit was sandwiched between Founders and Bell's. They do their samplers where you pick 6 from a menu and they will put the beers into a slot on the carousel. I had dinner here and it was good food that paired well with a couple of my beer choices.
New Holland has a lot of alcoholic beverages besides beer which a friendly native told me were also delicious but I have to take his word for it. The swag shop was open but small. They had beer available so I brought some harder to find varieties home with me. Prices in the shop were reasonable.
I spent a couple hours wandering Holland while sobering up and found the whole town to be quite attractive.

Overall I was very impressed with my visit to New Holland BC. I'll be honest, I have never been much of a fan of their beer when I have had it on draft or in bottle, but I was very surprised on my visit. Great location in the heart of downtown Holland, Michigan. They are also in the process of adding a beer garden onto the back of an already awesome pub. Tried 4 beers, and all were great, food was not bad either but nothing fantastic. Environment was very clean, and classy. Service was fine as well.
Only real complaint was, they were out of the beer I really wanted to try even though it was on their digital chalkboard beer list. (Bartender said she doesn't know how to update it). Then, I wanted to get a growler to go seems how I do not live in the area, but she said they were out of growlers too! To top it off, I was going to buy a shirt for my wife but the only one left was the display, and they wouldn't sell it.
I wouldn't hold that rant against them though, and if i was in the area I would definitely visit again.

The third brewery visited on family vacation 2013.
I walked in to a packed place. It's the day after the 4th, so most people were probably off work. Got there at around 130 and had to wait 20 min for a seat at the bar. Super cool place tho, long bar with a ton of tap handles. I am a big proponent of fresh beer, and new holland delivered. I had the sampler which included my choice of 6, 4 oz pours. I had 5 ipa's and dragons milk. With the exception of the farmhouse ipa (just not my cup of tea) everything was top notch. I had the pork belly sandwich, which I could've eaten at least 4 of, man that was tasty! Again, the place was packed, so I expected the service to suffer a bit, but the bartenders did their best, answered all my questions, and were extremely nice all around. (3F, why don't you send someone over to new holland to see how customer service is really done!). All in all, I will visit new holland every year from here on out when I drive through holland, mi. Excellent place, great time, good brew, and hey, they make their own whiskey also! Cheers.

Love traveling up to Michigan to get away from Chicago once in awhile. This is one of our favorite places to relax. How can you beat fresh Dragon's Milk on tap. What could be better?Liked the feel of the place, it was clean and laid back when we got there midday.I love pretty much everything they offer. Food was pretty good too. Good service, great beer, and great place to hang out.

Had a chance to stop in on 4/29/06.
The atmosphere was very comfortable. The place has high, tin ceilings and was nicely decorated. I felt like I was walking into someplace familar.
The quality of the beers was very good. Sadly, thinking I wasn't going to make it there, I had already eaten and I didn't get to try their food (which I had heard was outstanding).
The service was outstanding. Each and every bartender who served me was very attentive and took time to chat.
The selection of their beers was very nice with all of the bottled varieties represented as well as a couple of brewery-only offerings.
This is a place I would love to return to and hope I am in the area again so I can give it another try.
I very much enjoyed this experience.

Finally made it into the Brewpub, last time I tried they were closed due to a power outage.
The place was very cool inside a good mix of old and new and tons of space inside.
Food and beer was very good they had a great selection of summer beers and of the High Gravity series. I was very happy with some Night Tripper and Black Hatter (Pure Greatness). I had a pizza fro lunch which was as good as the beer.
They had a ton of choices from their beer, liquor, and two ciders. There was something fro everyone.

Visited on 4/9/11. First impression was positive - clean and bright with a lot of windows; hostess table staffed by very young but attentive and friendly folks. Plenty of room in this spacious place, and we were seated almost immediately at 5:00p on a Saturday.
Wait staff (Bri) was friendly - and patient while I pored over the house brew list. Food was the biggest surprise, and a pleasant one at that. The taco salad and Tarheel BBQ sandwich were unlike any other I've tried. The folks in the kitchen know what they're doing.
Only real drawback to the place was the noise level. The bar side was not full, but it was loud and conversations with my tablemates were not easy. But I'm getting to be an old dude who is starting to prefer speaking over shouting.
With a 1.5 hour drive ahead of me I chose the Paleooza over the higher gravity brewhouse-only offerings that were calling my name. Hope to return again, and early enough in the day that I can put a 1-2 hour buffer between me and the drive home so I can try more than just one - or at least a bigger one - during a visit.

Ate lunch and had beers with a group of friends.
Great brewpub setup, with a bar room, a dining room, seperated by a merchandise room where you can buy to-go beer and swag.
Beer quality was excellent, as the group was beer lovers and was impressed by all the beer sampled. A nice wide variety of beer available, and handily split into flagship, high gravity, barrel aged, sours, etc. All styles well done.
Our server was friendly and offered suggestions. Food was very good, and prices were reasonable.
Definitely would recommend

Positioned on the corner of a really cute & popular downtown street filled w. restaurants, outfitters, and specialty shops. The brewpub's layout is well designed: open, well lit bar room & dining room, separated by the checkout register & hall of swag. Enjoyed a 6 selection sampler (the poet, monkey king, BA dragon's milk, night tripper, white hatter & a seasonal), an appetizer, and a pizza. Service was friendly & prompt even though it was a busy Friday night. Food was quality. Beers were solid/average w. the exception of BA dragon's milk & night tripper which were memorable.

I really enjoyed visiting the New Holland brewery. They had six different "hatter" version for their Hatter project plus a few other pub exclusive brews and seasonals that aren't our where I live.
This place is big. A small game room a large upstairs area, cool little back porch area, and a souvenir area in the front of the store. But the thing that I really liked was the "wine cooler" behind the bar that carried a select few Library collection beers of which I bought two. I wish I would have bought all four now.
The service was good but I didn't think the bartender and waitress' had as much knowledge about the beers as they should considering this is the place that brews it.
When one day I return to the Grand Rapids/Holland area I will definitely spend some more time at this brewery. The best selection of pub exclusives on my recent adventure by far.
Food isn't shabby either.
