Poured into a hotel room plastic cup. A solid two fingers of head, not going anywhere soon. A murky brown colored body.
Smells like wet hay and ripe fruit.
A watered down taste, a little sweet, a kick of bitterness, ripe apricot.
Lighter body, low carbonation.
An enjoyable dunkel.

Tasted from a 500 ml bottle bought near Stuttgart. The BA entry says this beer is discontinued, but the bottle is right here in front of me with a "Best Before" date of April 2012, so it would appear it is being brewed once again.
A - Very cloudy, deep copper to red color. The head is off-white and initially thick, fading to a solid, thin layer made of tiny bubbles.
S - The aroma is of banana and bready, biscuity notes, along with a peppery, spicy finish. The spice seems unusual in my experience with dunkel weizens, and I don't find it to make the beer more appealing.
T - The taste has more of the spicy, peppery character along with overpowering banana. The malt is forced to the background and I taste very little of the bread and chocolate notes that I usually like so much in this style. There may be some earthy, spicy hops contributing to the spicy flavor, but bitterness is very low.
M - Body is moderate to heavy, almost chewy. The high carbonation gives a sharp acidic bite along with the fizzy sensation.
O - This is not a great beer, in my opinion. My favorite dunkel characteristics are missing or hidden by all the banana and spice flavors. I find the appearance, aroma and taste to all be below average for the style.

This brew produced about three fingers of chocolaty tan head. The body is brgundy and copper in color. I detect dark breads and chocolate in the aroma, as is the character I found in the taste. This feels very powder and slightly warming to the palate. This weizen is very vivid in yeasty esters.

Murky brown pour, and a thin white head. Aroma of banana, yeast, and a bit of spice, but nothing particularly strong. Pleasant sweetness is not dominated by the very mild malt. A bigger body and stronger flavor with a heavier chocolate malt finish could make this a good one.

Pours a nice brown color with ruby hues, and a big off-white head. Smells mostly of citrus with a fiant banana scent. The taste is of raosted malt and bananas. The aftertaste is sweet, and the mouthfeel is medium bodied and very dry. Overall, this is an easily enjoyable brew.
