Had this one on draught at My Place tonight, a day after the beer tasting with the brewer. Hautacam's previous review is right on. This one is quite special IMO; as there are many flavors working here, but nothing really stands out. They all combine to create a wonderfully balanced blonde. Mark at My Place told me that the brewer said that this draught is the first draught available in the USA. If you like Belgian Blondes, do what you can to get to Newtown and try this, before it's gone.

Bottle from John’s poured into stein. Lacks head. Somewhat off-putting, not what I was expecting in a style I’d typically savor. Skunked?

L- Deep amber, very slightly hazy, pours with very pale tan 5mm head. (ps holds well).
S- Some toast and bready notes.
T- Quite a punchy hoppy dry taste upon the broad darker (pale ale/bitter etc) foundation.
F- Complimenting the Taste is a suitably robust heft.
O- End result is like a hefty bodied pale ale, or a lager + notably extra body+ ditto hops. It's nice enough, with 'zero wrong' but not really doing enough for me to ship this one in from Belgium.
Bought from BelgiumInABox Antwerp/BE for home delivery to London/UK. 330ml bottle BB: 03/09/2021.
ps The lable is now different showing a more 'trad scene' of 4 horses pulling a cart in front of a building, likely the brewery.

Pours a cloudy golden-orange color with a small top of white head that dissolves rapidly. Aroma is of apples, banana, honey, caramel, light bread, spices and floral hops. The taste starts of sweet and fruity with notes of light malts in the back. The flavour then turns more dry with notes of spicy yeasts, before finish of with a good amount of bitterness. Is quite bitter for a blonde ale but is balanced quite good with the other flavours. Mouthfeel is soft and clean, with a moderate carbonation and a medium body.
A good tasting blonde ale, a good alternative if you want a ale with a little lower abv.

Clear golden color with fluffy off-white head. Aroma is a combination of bready malt, candi sugar and some yeast esters. Taste follows with a light sugary sweetness, grainy/bready malts and some earthy yeast notes with a good amount of bitterness. Light body, really dry, well carbonated but feels somehow smooth on the palate at first. Overall this is a really decent and easy drinking beer.

i understand a skunky or oxidized beer in a bottle coming over from belgium, but that shouldnt be the case in the kegs. this beer was weird to me in that it tasted stale and sort of old, despite being poured on tap. i thought kegs were more resilient to that stuff. still not bad, but i was excited to see one of these on draft, and higher expectation. a hazy darker graham cracker colored pour to this, definitely a shade or two darker than what i think when i think "blonde". the head is very dense and thick, just off white, over an inch high, and lasting in the globe the entire time it takes me to drink the hazy beer beneath it. the nose is slightly stale belgian pils malt, or something like it, should be lighter than it is. maybe a hint of slightly toasted bready malt, but its minimal. yeast is tame for what it is, but there is still some nice spiciness to it, with a sort of white pepper and clove complexion, still behind the grain. some bubblegum notes in here as well, a little sweeter than normal for the style, and absolutely richer. its full bodied for what it is, a little sweet, and creamy as can be. an interesting take on the style i suppose, for me it tasted old and tired, not sure why in the keg. my least favorite of their beers so far.
