L- Quite deep amber, pours cloudy with more sediment left in the bottle. 3mm ultra-fine justoff-white head.
S- Quite mild, just some toasted grain notes for me.
T- Something like stewed fruits at the open which then becomes liquor-ish into a distinct ABV% zing across the palate. The stewed fruits I mention remind me of the balanced sweet+sour notes you get in trad desserts like British apple crumble, or apple+blackberry. Rich yet the in-balance sour facet means the rich never risks becoming OTT
F- Rich + a sour side in balance. It is a pungent beer, I'm half way through and it's warming and the richness is rising; start well chilled and don't linger according to your tolerance of rich evolving an outright sweet edge to it.
O- Very nice, solid. heavy, a slow-sipping beer for me (too pungent to rush).

Pours a deep brown-reddish color with a small top of white head that dissolves rapdily and leaves some lacings on the glass. The aroma is of dark malts, bread, caramel, nuts, prunes, raisins and spices. The taste is sweet with notes of sugar and dried fruits and with a strong flavour iof dark malts and caramel in the back. The flavour also has a lot of herbs in the taste, and the finish is slightly bitter and sweet. Lenght on the aftertaste is decent. The balance could be better, the sweetness is weak compared to the malty back. The body is medium with a low carbonation and it has a smooth mouthfeel.
All in all is decent dubbel, but not very exiting compared to what you can find in Belgium.

Just a regular dubbel, nothing special here, bit caramel, just good.
