It pours a pale yellow color with a good head. The smell is a weak malt with nothing else. Taste is ok, a weak malty flavor than to me just a watery mess. The feel is watery, weak and unimpressed. I just was not impressed with this one, finished the glass but would not try this one again.

Appearance: Light yellow color with bright, white cap with fine lacing.
Aroma: Nice light malt leaning toward rich. Hops present and somewhat intrusive.
Taste: Malt first quickly followed by hops. The hops are spicy, bit of floral, Malt lasts through the finish which is clean with a some hop aftertaste.
Texture: Fuller than expected, medium I would say.
Overall: It looks like a Pilsner, smells like a Pilsner, tastes like . . . well, it tastes like an interpretation by a Brewer who graduated from the if all else fails toss in more hops school. It actually tastes pretty good but is out of balance. I think this would work better at 30 IBUs than at 40.

Had Snopes Family Pilsner on draft into tumbler.
To name a beer after William Faulkner's fictional Snopeses, a family of amoral opportunists arising in the vacuum of the defeated South, could itself be viewed as crass commercial exploitation, but Yalobusha is donating a portion of the profits to Move on Up, a charity for MIssissippi disadvantaged youth.
So raise a pint of this true-to-style Czech Pilsener, and toast the fact that 150 years after the War Between The States, Mississippi has finally moved beyond Reconstruction, and started brewing good beer all over the place.
