Poured from a 22oz. bomber (wish this one was in sixers!). Nice full off white head which dissipates quickly. Minimal lacing. Very pretty light copper color.
Sweet malt dominates not letting much else get through.
Taste is right on for the style. Yes, malt sweetness is the dominant player, but does not drown out some caramel and even hop notes in the finish. Another well-balanced beer from the very capable folks at BBC.
Mouthfeel is nice and full as a malty beer should be.
The elevated ABV is well hidden and no "hot" feeling, which is sometimes the demise of other Mai and Helles bocks.
Overall a very solid offering from BBC, one of the best and least "advertised" breweries in New England. Kudos also for keeping the price of BBC beers at a level that is more than reasonable for the high quality present!

Something odd about the flavor. Not totally unpleasant, but wouldn't buy again.
