Pours a somewhat hazy light caramel color with a foamy white head

Smells reminds me of DFH Immort ale sweet with some phenols and maybe a little grape or apple.

Taste is sweet with some caramel and definetly some apple

Mouthfeel is light and smooth with no carbonation

I can easily drink a bomber of this but I don't think I would do two in one night as the alcohol isn't hidden well. Again as all of the BBC bomber offerings this is a killer deal for under $4 a bomber.

Split with JLindros. Reviewed from notes.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice crystal clear light copper hue with a good one finger off white head that faded to leave a light creamy blanket.

S - Aroma is fairly typical for an oktoberfest. A bit on the malty/bready side for me.

T - Taste is more of the same, caramel (lots of it), sweeter malts, biscuits, slight toffee. Again, a bit too sweet for my tastes.

M - Mouthfeel was fairly solid. Nicer carbonation here little sharp on the tongue.

O - Overall, slightly unimpressed by this one. Its a decent Oktoberfest, but just a bit too sweet for my tastes.

Served on tap as guest beer at SBC in Southport. Served in a pint glass.

Medium dark amber, lightly brown, some white foam. This is a malt bomb for sure - in the nose and in the taste, Quite buttery to boot. There are hints of caramel and toffee in the mix as well. Lighter carbonation on the mouthfeel.

Solid Octoberfest brew and real good on tap.

Poured into a 13 oz tulip glass. Pours a orange brown with a half inch of off white head, that leaves some lacing behind. Smell is brown sugar, raisin, banana bread, and carmel. Taste is balanced nicely, this is large for the style, and malt lovers will love what they have done here. Body is on the large side, a little dry, and very drinkable. This a well done Marzen style beer. If you like malty beers and October beers, a must try.
