This is similar to our Seven Hills Porter only this porter has added vanilla beans. Panther’s Hollow is located in a deep dark valley, in Saltillo. As legend has it, it is haunted. I dare you to cross Cry Baby Bridge.

I picked a 6pck of this up during a stay over in Wheeling, WV. It poured an opaque dark with ercu head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had hints of vanilla. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with vanilla and roast presence. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a solid beer.

It's a solid tasting stout but it's like drinking stout flavored water.

12 ounce can into pint glass, no can dating. Pours lightly hazy nearly opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, nuttiness, toasted dark/brown bread, light smoke/dark fruit, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, vanilla, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of big milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, nuttiness, toasted dark/brown bread, light smoke/dark fruit, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal/roast bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, nuttiness, toasted dark/brown bread, light smoke/dark fruit, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, vanilla, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a nice roasted bitter/sweet balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Minimal dryness. Light-medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and slightly slick/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.25%. Overall this is a very good English porter. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, vanilla, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mild bitterness. Very rich feeling for the ABV. Well rounded English malt complexity, and balanced vanilla character without overdoing it. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours an opaque jet black with a thin tan head. Predominant aroma is vanilla and roasted coffee, with some hints of chocolate. The roast is the star here, with the vanilla pulling some weight as a nice supporting note, which is nice. Slightly thin body, with appropriate carbonation for the style. There's a little slickness in the mouthfeel, but overall this is a solid vanilla porter.

A: poured a dark opaque brown almost black with a big ol' tan head into a mug. Good lacing
S: notes of vanilla and coffee, slight tinge of cocoa and some molasses. Very "roasty" and malty
T: Very light on the vanilla for a porter with "vanilla" in the name. A little disappointed, but it makes up for it with
some good coffee (love it) and cocoa notes with a nice bit of molasses and cola on the backside. A slight bit of char, maybe? As well. Very roasty tasting as well as the smell.
M: somewhat of a medium-light mouth feel, decent body, medium carbonation, almost fluffy, kind of dry finish
Overall: a decent, solid good looking Porter with good notes of coffee and molasses and a bit of a dry finish. Wish it had a bit more vanilla like the name says, but I like it and would probably buy it again, but I wouldn't exactly go out hunting for it.

12 oz can in Dublin, Ohio.
Opaque dark brown body.
Slightly boozy, vanilla tinged aroma features dark roasted grains.
Less harmonious flavor than aroma, at least in part because the vanilla builds in the finish. Still, tasty and recommended.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter----Thanks to The Growler Stop for getting in some cool local brews!
This nice porter pours a deep dark black with subtle brown highlights and a nice head of light tan foam that
subsides to a thick ring, thin pool, and features some nice light lacing. Nose of cocoa, dark roasted
malts with hints of coffee, subtle char, and subtle vanilla. Flavors lightly exceed the nose with a wafting
vanilla awash in dark cocoa and subtle bitter coffee laced with light char and deeply roasted malts with
light molasses and light cola notes coming through on the rear of the taste. Nice body with a medium
lightly coating mouth feel, smooth, moderately carbonated, and a subtly creamy roasted finish.
Overall a nicely balanced porter that does not beat you over the head with the vanilla.
Nice
Cheers

12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours almost black with a big chunky tan head that slowly falls leaving great retention and nice lacing. The aromas are full of cocoa malts. Hints of milk chocolate. The vanilla is pretty subtle and almost nonexistent. The flavors follow the nose. Solid malt backbone. Cocoa malts are there with some roasted malts in the mix. Lots of milk chocolate. Hints of milk. Very subtle hints of anise in the finish. The vanilla seems to go unnoticed. Finishes slightly dry. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is nice. It's on the lighter side of medium-bodied with active carbonation. It's fluffy, smooth and easy to drink.
This is a solid porter. The vanilla really isn't noticeable at all, but it's still solid. It's basically your traditional porter.
