This version is in a can and is called "Rosemary Saison." It has the same ABV as the bottle. From the bottom of the can: "CANNED ON 07/18/18"
Appearance: It has a tawny brown body that is hazy to the point where shadows barely make it through. It is nearly opaque. It has a short white head that has a creamy texture. It's not much to look at in the glass.
Aroma: It has an interesting aroma of white pepper and banana. After inhaling quite a few times a bit of bubblegum comes through.
Taste: A strong clove comes through up front which is joined by a bit of nutmeg and black pepper. It has a bit of malty alcohol sweetness.
Mouthfeel: It has a medium body but it has a slightly thicker texture which gives it this chewy and slippery presence on the palate. It doesn't really fit well. There is a touch of bite, similar to capsicum, to the beer in the aftertaste which is pleasant.
Overall: It really tastes like the yeast and perhaps the rosemary are doing a great job. However, the base beer is an anchor that drags this beer down. It feels too thick and tastes too malty to carry such delicate flavors. It is really unfortunate because there is a great beer inside this can somewhere waiting to be let out.

Pours a deep golden amber with a pretty ugly off white head. Totally disappears pretty rapidly.
Smell is faint spicy hops and French saison clove and spice.
Relatively full flavored, big clove and spicy hops. No rosemary to speak of though.
Reasonably full bodied for the style, finishes pretty sweet as well.
An OK saison, lack of rosemary is a bummer. Not a huge fan of this strain of yeast but it seems lots are, c'est la vie.

This is not a beer you drink by itself. The herb is too much, and the beer cant be appreciated without pairing it to something. I highly recommend a sharp cheese... cheddar etc, or something savory from the grill. When I took my first sip my thoughts were like most of the others. This sucks. BUT.. I gave it another chance. I was lucky that we were pairing cheeses with this beer, because it made all the difference! Now I'm looking to get more of it and cant find it!

A pretty tasty beer but not what I was expecting in a Saison. Poured into a pint glass as a hazy apricot color with a good size bubbly white head. Head retention is pretty good and there is a lot of filmy lacing non the glass.
Aroma is of a somewhat sweet fruity (apples) beer with a lot of Rosemary in the nose.
Taste is more of the same. The Rosemary stands out but you can appreciate a somewhat sweet fruity and malty beer too. No hint of Belgian yeast or any funk or barnyard flavor of a good Saison.
Mouthfeel is pretty robust and pleasant. It is rich and somewhat sweet and fruity. Goes down easy.
A pleasant drink but not a great Saison.

750 ml bottle. Pours a darker golden/honey color body. Big head. Extremely herbal aroma; rosemary, thyme, pepper and citrus. Flavor is just a bit of a mess. Drinkable, but this is just too many herbs for me.

This was fine but didn't wow me. Would drink again but they have several better offerings.

Bottle 2014 Batch 3:
This beer generates a huge pillow of fluffy white head. The beer is a darker golden color, with a slight orange hue. The head lasts fairly well, but didn't lace my glass too much.
Nose to me is a bit weak, but I get nice lightly fruity notes, apple, pear, with a little bit of honey, and a whiff of spice. These come on more with some warmth, and actually are almost absent on initial pour.
Taste follows the nose, but more prominently. Fruity beginning (more apple in nature) with a hint of honey sweetness. Earthy spices hit the palate earlier the warmer the beer gets, but a typical dry earthy farmhouse flavor is present even in my initial sips. The end brings back some fruit notes, but also accents the spice/herb until the taste falls and a lightly dry feeling is left.
The feel is fairly highly carbonated, which adds a bit of bite to the beer. Fairly light and dry overall.
The layers of flavor and spice/feel on the tongue make this a playful, interesting, well-constructed beer that I will definitely buy again.
Edit: had again early Sept, 2015 and still really enjoying it. Rosemary faded but still a lemon and grass bitterness and a bit of a smoother feel. This seems like it may work as a two-season beer as it seemed nice on an early fall day (granted it was a warm day).

Poured from the bottle into a tulip glass. Vintage 2014.
Deep caramel brown to red rust, with hints of tangerine orange, and a nice orb like opaque glow. Rising roaring middle column of carbonation, popluating a simple three finger very light tan colored creamy head. Nice retention and staying power, if a little light bodied through basic standard pinhole carbonation. Great looking beer.
Excellent herbal aroma. Muted bouquet of rosemary and other thyme, chamomile and sage like green herbs. Mild salinity like quality, soft brett and farmhouse esters taking control. Mild hint of sweet balsamic vinegar also and a small biscuit malt like quality seems present also. Really nice.
Palate comes expected, simply and nicely. Peppery finish but not overly hot, with a biscuit mild caramel mid palate. Good interesting mix of malt sweetness and finishing brett. Slightly steely and tinny but not overly so, if adding some playful flavors to the experience. Crisp and dry finish, almost wine to champagne like character but not quite.
Overall a nice earthy and herbal sweet malted take on a saison that really has some great character. Very nicely done and memorable.

This beer was highly recommended. I was highly disappointed. Not much of a Saison. All you taste is rosemary. Found it incredibly hard to finish a glass. Interesting but not my cup of tea.
