big thanks to OlavZipser for this bottle and the properglassware to go with.
a - brew poured a murky yellow orange with nary any head. hardly any bubbling either...looks to be flat, but sipping the beer reveals it is carbbed,.
s - nose is subtle, but classic to style with bubblegum and candy and banana. clove and an almost oak smell tickle the nose as well.
t - really nice and crisp. feels very organic. lush flavors or bubblegum and banana. really nice candied sugar.
m - the water on these brews is the highlight. they all have such a fresh organic vibe to the feel...really enjoyable and crisp. feels like really quality ingredients.
o - and thus ends my trip around the world with lickinghole creek craft brewery. i watched them build the brewery on instagram and made some friends locally who helped me check out all 4 bottles they had for sale, this being the last. i have to say, i'm impressed. lots of promise, not a bad beer in the bunch, this one being one of my favs...maybe short pump was better? they all carry a very natrual organic feel and use what feels like super tasty water...similar to HF (but not at all). this is a great tripel. a bit on the candied sweet side, but super enjoyable and an easy drinker. i'm a fan and look forward to trying more from this brewery (and even revisiting some of these)

look: 2.5 | smell: 3.25 | taste: 2.75 | feel: 2 | overall: 2.5
A: Hazy, honey-hued appearance. Absolutely no lacing.
S: The first thing I notice are apples and sweetness followed by a slight cereal aroma.
T&M: Tender upfront. Faint fruitiness that is quickly replaced by the Sterling and Motucka hops. Absolutely zero carbonation- to bad this isn't a cask ale. The complete lack of head or lacing is a disappointment
O: Overall I am disappointed with this brew. Whenever I pour a beer and it comes out flat, that always leaves me sad. As for the flavor, it seems unbalanced: faint sweetness and then a block of under-hopped finish. But it kind of makes sense because tropical fruit isn't always distinctive and the wrong balance of hops just ends up bitter and bland. Lickinghole Creek is on the right track with the bottle-conditioning, premium ingredients, and brewery setup. However the end result of this tripel feels shoddy: flatness, lack of cork-and-cage, overpriced for being brand new, unbalanced flavor. Hopefully LHC can go back to the drawing board on this one, spend less time worrying about their label, and more time worrying about their product.
