Paid about 3.00 for a can at the House of 1,000 beers.
Well carbonated deep brown color with a clear brown hue at base. Smell is brown and toasted malt, some chocolate and a bit of hop bite. Taste is actually really clean very bready and malty with slightly bittering hops. Easy to drink.

Overall not my favorite style but a decent take on it.

Smells and tastes breast like a fresh pumpernickel. The taste is followed by some bitter hops. It was highly carbonated, which I was not expecting. Overall, it was a good tasting hoppy brown ale.

Appearance: Arrives with a chestnut color capped by a modest head that leaves a few squiggles behind

Smell: Brown bread with hints of nut and chocolate

Taste: Brown bread, up front, with a nut character developing; a hint of chocolate and a touch of bitterness linger into the finish

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: While this is often an insipid style, this brew manages to amp up the flavor profile just enough to make it interesting; an easy drinker

Pours a medium amber brown color. Smells roasted and nutty, perhaps smokier than a traditional brown. The taste is nutty and roasted, and leaning heavy on the roasted malt flavor . Light herbal, piney hop character is there to balance and provides a moderate bitterness. Medium bodied and well carbonated ale, just a little less full than I'd like. Overall, a solid brown with good roasted flavor.
