Picked this bad boy up at Krause's supermarket on Highway One in Key Largo this past weekend. They have a decent selection of singles and this caught my eye with it's no nonsense label and packaging.
Beautiful golden color is offset by the complete lack of head and intense, almost scary carbonation. Nose is faint but unpleasant.
Taste has some balls for a light beer, with a slight kick of hops to accompany the neutered but present malt. Mouthfeel is watery and pretty thin. For a light beer this really isn't bad at all. I woldn't look for it again but would pick it above macro lights and most macros any day.

This beer is gold to light gold with a fingernail of off white. The aroma is faint, but what I do detect is corn. I taste Vienna malt and faint German bittering hops. The mouth is light and quaffable.

not sure why folks are hating on this one so much, maybe the contract brewing or something, i dont know, but the beer isnt bad, and when placed in a macro context, its leagues better. a little heavy, corny, and slightly sweet, but thats the island sort of style, and i think it works in the florida context, this is sessionable for sure too. great golf course beer, cleans up a seafood palate, and has enough body and bubbles to be both refreshing and satisfying for a craft beer drinker. not watery, adjuncty, or metallic at all, all problems that plague lesser quality lagers. not sure what the negative side is, other than its a little sweet and a little boring, but this is far better than its been given credit for being, although i suppose the recipe may have underwent some changes over time. a fine florida lager in my opinion, not going to change the world, but its certainly better than any BMC beer ive had.
