Bottle thanks to hopscotch. Pours a clear orange color with a small white head. A light aroma of malts and hops. The flavor was pretty interesting; lots of spices and carbonation, very alive. Some light malt and semi-bitter hops. Some biscuit flavors and quite tangy. Not bad. A very decent lager.

Another local brew I have tasted from my home state, FL, and I'm glad to say I wasn't disappointed.

The Native FL Lager pours out a beautiful shade of yellow - dark, yet clear, and even though it has little head and lacing, the color of the beer was simply great to look at. The lager had strong scents of citrus - primarily orange and lime, with a distant hint of tangerine. The mouthfeel was absolutely what I look for - little carbonation along with a smooth, silky feel. The taste followed along with the smell - I could definitely pull out the oranges and limes - really nice. And it had a good bodied tasted for a lager - not the normal watered down stuff you find from the big brewers. Overall, I enjoyed the beer - I really hoped I would and many times end up getting disappointed - but not this time.

If you drink, please don't drive, and if you drive, for cryin' out loud - don't drink...frui cervisiam consciam.

[Suggested Glassware: Lager Glass]

The pour was a lightly cloudy golden yellow with a large (2-3 finger) white rocky head that reduced to a few puddles with a small collar and had some good spotty lacing.

The aroma was of a grain malt, grassy hops and a sweaty yeast with notes of caramel and adjuncts.

The taste was a tad bitter and a touch acidic with a hint of caramel early on, and had a moderate adjunct presence and a pronounced bitterness towards the end. The flavor hung around for a little while with the harsh bitterness fading slowly as time elapsed.

Mouthfeel was light in body with a dry watery texture and a lively carbonation.

Overall a brew with an awful lot of bitterness and not much else...

Had a pint of this on tap at Big City Tavern while in Fort Lauderdale for work.

Clear yellow. Effervescent. Dense foamy bright white head. Looks like a macro except for the size and thickness of the head.

Nose is gentle malt, not much else.

Taste is mild malt, corn/grain. Not much there. Slightly metallic.

Mouthfeel is fine.

Overall quite forgettable, but still good to see local beer in South Florida. I can see how this one would be popular with the masses.

Ap: Cloudy, yellow-Orange color. Modest carbonation, minimal lacing. Very pretty.

Ar: Citrusy grapefruit smell. Very faint but the citrus stands out.

Ta: Mild metallic aftertaste. Citrus notes hit early with a mild sense of bitter and orange rind flavor. The bitter citrus sits and lingers and becomes better with each taste.

Mf: Mild carbonation. Nothing super impressive. It has a mild refreshing presence.

Ov: Nothing super impressive, but very refreshing and much more appealing than the average Lager. I will definitely look for this again. Cheers!

Thick creamy head, close to bleached white, the microfoam dissolves quickly to a thin surface layer, not much lacing but enough that you can say it’s there. Bright orange to golden color, very clean and clear, so many bubbles it looks like a snow storm. Very sweet nose of sugar cane, honey, corn syrup, quite peppery too with a dried herbaceousness as well, solid lemon zest, surprisingly ripe peach and apricot fruit scents, overall sweet and agreeably simple. Light to medium-bodied, fluffed up from the downy soft carbonation, more adjunct like flavors of corn syrup, meal, honey, sweet spices like nutmeg or coriander. The white pepper element lower here while the grassiness makes for a drying finish. The apricot, peach, yellow apple fruit steady throughout. It is really unremarkable yet at the end of the day it still brings a smile to your face. Makes you not want to analyze it much.

I got this as an extra from Pittsky. Awesome trade Jesse!

A: Poured a fizzy, crystal clear yellow color ... the same color Stone Brewing Co. warns you against over and over again. The head was about 3 inches + that settled into a froth within seconds.

S: A bit of bready malt, but also a bit of sulphur.

T: Light bodied, but I guess this is a light lager right? Decent mild sour-dough bread taste, but the sweetness seemed bleached out.

M: Smooth for sure and very well carbonated. Malt presence was sufficient to help drowned out some of the sulphur.

D: Hey, it's still better than St. Paulie Girl!

poured a mostly clear straw color with a white small head and minimal lacing..had to order this lager while in FL ..smell was adjunct with a malt biscuit odor..taste was grain ,rice and flour mix in some hops and biscuit and you have a sub par adjunct lager..mouth feel was carbonated had some residual flavor if you looked for it..you can drink alot of this if you have some chips and salsa to add flavor to iit

A - One finger of white foam on top of a perfectly clear, golden body. The head settles quickly and leaves little lace.

S - A light aroma of malt with a hint of spicy hops and some sulphur in the background.

T - Bready malt up front with a bit of a husky grain note. Any sweetness quickly fades in the middle as some earthy hop notes come in. Finishes with a bit of an acrid husk flavor and some more earthy hops that provide moderate bitterness.

M - Medium body, moderately high carbonation, and a very dry finish.

D - There is a nice, earthy hop character present throughout the beer. The hops are partially balanced by grain character but it is extremely dry and lacks any real malt depth. This is drinkable and could be quite good with a touch of sweetness and a more robust malt profile.

Thanks to RomaniIteDomum for including this as an extra in a trade.

This pours very much like champagne: a big, bubbly head that fades (certainly not as quickly as the typical macro light) and some active fizzy carbonation in the glass. The color is a deeper, darker gold than any macro I've seen, light or otherwise, with very few exceptions. This one even leaves some thin, spotty lacing behind.
The nose is tame with some grains and a light tangy sweetness. There's an herbal element to a light hops note.
The flavors are fairly sturdy for a light. There's definitely some herbal flavor and something earthy in there, and it's fairly well-balanced. Hops and malt both make an appearance on the tongue. There's a citrus tang in a finish that doesn't linger long.
The body is light, though not watery or especially thin, with a fairly crisp feel and even just a little smoothness.
If I had to go light, I wouldn't mind making this one a backup to Sam Adams light if it was available to me.

Native is now being brewed and bottled under the Indian River Brewing company in Melbourne.

For a light lager this is pretty good. No off put flavors in mouth, slight funk in the nose but that's my fault. This is no sam adams light but nothing else is. I could definately find a good home for this beer from the Indian River brewing company.

Very pale yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly into a white ring. Not much lacing, think wisps down the side here and there.

Smells a little grainy and citrusy (acidic?) twang in the nose. Almost like v8 but I did have alot of tomato based BBQ tonight.
EDIT*

Taste is sweet malt with a little honey on the tongue. Small showing of hops. Yesterday I didn't think the taste was either good or bad but today I have to say one of THE BEST light lagers I have ever had. Actually better than most pale lagers.

Easy than budlight and miller light going down. This should be the new light lager.

My bottle says this was brew and bottled by Indian River Corporation for Native Brewing www.freshbeerinc.com. I guess this is the right beer, my label looks very different.

Not much to say about this one. It was a very pale yellow and poured with a short lived, fizzy head. Sweet smelling grains and little else in the nose. This tasted like a corny/adjunct lager. No real hop or malt character to speak of. The body was thin and fizzy. Overall, I found myself craving a Yuengling lager. This was just too sweet.

Poured a seethru straw gold with minimal head and no lace. A burnt veggie, leafy aroma (I hope no adjuncts). Watery and slick, easy going down the hatch with some minor hops and more of a veggie taste. A non-descript, but at least also a non gag-inducing, light beer. Compared to their other beers, why bother with this?

Poured with a typical macro- white head and no lace. Color is an almost hazy burnished brass. Aroma is a bit spicy, citrusy, hoppy and about the best thing going for this beer. Flavor was similar but not so nice. Watery. Kind of an alcoholic character to it. Four or 5 swallows into it and it looks sad and dead. Not a great finish either.

A- Pours an ever so lightly hazed golden yellow color with an off-white head.

S- The aroma is a clean lager smell with some grain and very minimal hops.

T- The taste like the aroma features some malt and a low hop bitterness. Not bad, but nothing really stands out.

M- The mouthfeel is light with a good amount of carbonation.

D- Not a bad lager, but not great either. I could drink a few of these, no problem. However, it doesn't really stand out in any way to purchase again.

Note: This is now brewed and bottled by Indian River Beverage exclusively for the Native Brewing Co. the bottle label is now far more arsty fartsy ..i'll get a photo on the way. Smell is skunky sweet like a good lager should be! Pours to a ever so slightly cloudy dark yellow. Not much head. Taste is unique to say the least. Mouthfeel has good carbonation and texture. Back to the taste...yikes...I don't know what kind of hops are in this beer but I don't want to know. Match that with a swampwater taste and this is a disaster. I hope this is a bad bottle..(slightly cloudy) if so I will rate again..this is worse than Landshark for chrissakes. The first beer in my life I can't finish and will be dumped out...Another bottle (not cloudy) same nastiness... I wonder if even a dog would drink this (probably)... I pray the whole sixer is just bad and this beer doesn't really taste like this....(I need to find a dog for the other 4 bottles)

For a light lager I have to give this one props, it's a far cry from the other macro beers. Bottle art is a little blaze but oh well. Pours the traditional bright gold color of most lagers, very carbonated. Smell was faint, not much to pick up on besides some wisps of malt. Taste was....there! It wasn't the thin bland taste you would expect, instead it was malty with some mild citrus hoppiness. I would say take these out on the boat and sip and leave the Bud for the beer funnels.

Pours a pale golden honey with a small white head. No retention to speak of, and just about the same for lace.

Not much in the aroma department besides some stale hops, grass, and a touch of butter.

Nothing special in the flavor department either. A decent honey sweetness and a touch of citrus. Hops start spicy and end up stale. A faint metallic note comes in towards the end. Comes off with a Heineken-like twang, which I am not a fan of. Finishes clean and slightly dry.

Light in body and pretty smooth. Thin and watery on the tongue. Better than an offering from BMC, especially if this is indeed a light beer (which I am slightly skeptical about). Easy drinking lawnmower beer. There are worse beers out there, and certainly better ones.
