From the bottle, it pours a nice clear dark amber color with a modest head, soon diminishing to a small ring. The smell is caramel malt, which is matched by the taste.

Smell of malt, caramel and Pilsener. Minimal carbonation. Weak taste with Pilsener finish.

A: Bronze, clear, decent sized slightly tanned head, some lacing.
S: Predominantly caramel malt which was coupled with some citrus.
T: Honey, malt, caramel, chocolate.
M: Slightly chewy, texture, minimal carbonation, smooth.
O: If I had tried this in a blind test I would have called a Southern German Märzen, it put me in mind of a Märzen beer from Brauerei Engel in Crailsheim, actually a pretty decent effort. I would buy it again.

Pours an amber-red color, with a decent, soon fading head.
Smells of copper, leavy hops and toffee malts.
Has a high, coppery carbonation and a thin body.
Ad well as with the other special offerings of Beck's, there is nothing crafty about this beer. Its overly sweet and carbonated, while reddish in color, with a faint floral infusion during the extremely watery finish.
This beer is defined by its great watery apperance, accentuated by toffeeish malts.
