12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass
Appearance: Cloudy light amber hue with a thin, head and light foamy lacing.
Smell: Spiced citrus notes. Heavy on the coriander. Wheaty.
Taste: Orange and coriander notes with a slight pepper note. Wheaty finish.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied, soft mouthfeel. High carbonation initially, but this disappears before you take the second sip.
Drinkability: This beer is super easy to drink. Definitely a session brew.
Ending notes: Overall, this is a decent brew. Nothing special about it, but it is really refreshing. I've had better in the style. I probably won't get this again.

A - a very cloudy orange/amber. Yeast afterpour was extremely heavier than most of the variety. A full finger head washed down to a thin lacing.
S -Bananas, various spices and a hint of bubblegum
T - The smell carries over well in the taste, with a banana/spice and a hint of citrus rising well with a slight bubblegum aftertaste.
M - Medium body - definitely not a lighter American Hefeweizen.
O - Another of my favorite takes on the Hefeweizen. I grab a fresh sixpack directly from the brewer whenever I am in their area. Great year round.

A - Murky as all get out. Wheaty. Small white head leaves fast to ring. Some small spot lace.
S - Straw, light barn, fresh and light.
T - Pretty close to smell, with small core of caramel malt present as well.
M - Light bodied, good carb and balance.
D - Kicking good drinkability!

Presentation: Poured from a 12 oz brown bottle into a Duvel chalice. Thanks to my wife for bringing this back from a recent trip to New England. Label is non gloss paper (I like that) and depicts a decidedly non-Belgian blonde standing in a white dress with her dog. Behind her appears to be old European style buildings. No freshness date.
Appearance: Pours very clear at first, only after swirling the last bit do I get some decent cloudiness. 1/2 inch of white head; falls quickly to a ring around the glass and a small island of foam in the center. The beer itself is pale yellow and cloudy. Some sediment remains in the bottom.
Smell: Strong aroma of orange and clove with hints of Granny Smith apple.
Taste: Slight citrus tang upfront, but fades quickly into a bland and mildly soapy body. Lingering mild sweetness.
Mouthfeel: Much lower than average carbonation; almost flat. Body is okay.
Drinkability: Nothing much going on here, too many flaws to make it worthy of seeking out again. Not too certain that I will even finish this one.

Picked up a six pack of this while passing through Mass.
A yellow color to it, with some cloudiness and a good sized bright white head. It has the smell of orange peel. coriander, some cloves. Taking a sip and wheat hits the palate, along with more orange and lemon too. Yeast is there along with more of the lighter spices in this wit. MF is well balanced and crisp, goes down easy. This is a pretty good wit and works well for this hot summer weather in New England. Another solid beer from the good people at Haverhill.

The beer pours a nice hazy/cloudy deep yellow/orange, with a thin head that quickly vanishes.
Nose is all Belgian- Fruity, cloves, banana, and wheat.
Mouthfeel is very light, which you expect from a wheat. Its crisp and bubbly.
Taste is ....interesting. Spicy from the white pepper, ajowan seeds and coriander seeds, and I very distinctly get wheat (from the raw wheat added to the kettle and yeast in suspension) and cloves and a nutty taste as well. There is a lot going on here.
(Malts used were 2-Row, Wheat, Acidulated Malt; Hops: Centennial)
Finish is slightly sour, with an unpleasant pepper aftertaste that is very light, but perceptible.
Overall this beer is exactly what it says it is, which seems to be the melding of wheat, white, and Belgian styles. I'm not so sure it worked.

Pours medium gold with a white foamy head. Limited retention, no lace.
Coriander and white pepper, as well as wheat husk, in the nose. Nice.
Bitter husk and a little pepper up front. Some sweet wheat and straw, yeast and must, some rind bitterness. My drawback with this brew is that the flavors are mild -- just too thin. Right idea, but missed in the intensity.
Light bodied, right carbonation.
Decent brew that holds up well to food. Some flaws, but I still dug it.

Appearance: 12oz bottle poured into a standard pint. Colour is a pale, cloudy yellowish-white; think the colour of pineapple gummi bears. 1/2 inch head fades quickly into a mere puff on the surface. Very slight visible carbonation.
Smell: Citrus, wheat, pepper, and coriander are all present in this one.
Taste: A surprising kick of white pepper starts this brew off. As quick as the taste is there it is gone fading into a faint taste of orange-wheat. Crisp.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied with mild carbonation. Healthy amount of bite.
Drinkability: A nice refreshing beer. I would prefer more of a stronger taste, though. The bit of white pepper in the beginning was an interesting treat.

A- Slightly hazy pale straw yellow with a creamy white head that builds to several fingers in size. Head falls pretty quickly leaving a nice pillow behind that doesnt leave any lace.
S- Lemony citrus hops and floral notes come up front. A bit of yeast spice and clove/bubble gum presence in the background. Some bread and biscuit feel as well. Metallic hints.
T- Heavy on yeast elements like spice, raisin, clove, bread and bubble gum. A bit of lemon citrus and floral notes. Some biscuit and caramel malt. Straw.
MF- Creamy light body with high carbonation that goes down smoothly.
DB- Drinks easily and has a nice flavor. Pretty much what I look for in a middle of the line Witbier.

A - Very thin white head that looks like soap bubbles. Cloudy yellow color with sediment floating throughout, despite a careful pour.
S - Orange peel definitely comes through well, along with coriander. Wheaty character smells similar to cereal. Earthy, musky hops.
T - Coriander/cilantro, orange zest, spice towards the back of my mouth. Much of the flavor is dull because the beer is basically flat! The lack of carbonation keeps the flavors from being pronounced, or 'bright.'
M/D - Again, the beer was flat, as I was afraid of after seeing the weak head. This ruins the whole mouthfeel. Otherwise, I feel this beer had a chance at being pretty good

12 oz bottle courtesy of jleblanc, thanks Jeff! Pours a very hazed, yellowish-orange color with a fast fading white head. Not a whole lot of lacing.
Nose is soft coriander and bright tangerine flesh. Goes light on the wheat and I really do not notice the white pepper and ajowan additions in the smell.
Mmmm, a tasty witbier here, light and airy feeling. Has a unique spicing on the taste with the white pepper being the most notable, although I must admit my ajowan ignorance apart from I hear it imparts a thyme-like flavor. Everything else melds together real well and makes for a smooth drinking experience. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, but I would be more than happy to have this as my local summer witbier. Good stuff.

Had on tap at Union Brewhouse in Weymouth, MA
Served in a pint glass
A: This beer pours a hazy dark yellow with a one finger of white head that recedes immediately. Minimal spotty lacing left on the glass.
S: Nose is of light fruit, peach and pear, hints of lemon are present and some mild corriander spicing comes through as well.
T: Taste is very light - peach fruitiness up front before moving to a bready, biscuity middle. Lemon and orange come through in the finish with some corriader slightly detectable.
M: Lighter bodied, medium carbonation, light crisp feel.
D: Goes down easily, not filling, somewhat tasty but not very true to style. I could definitely have a couple pints of this if I were to ignore the style.

Appearance: minimal head, cloudy, dark gold in color
Smell: cardamom, lemon, and wheat
Taste: cardamom, lemon, and wheat
Mouthfeel: low carbonation, slightly sweet, and light bodied
Drinkability: This one is a fairly average witbier. Nice and light and perfectly drinkable, but nothing overly exciting. I would not pass it by, but also would not rush to get it.

Lightly hazed straw yellow pour with a small white head that soon dropped to a collar, but left some small streaks of lace on the glass. Fairly standard appearance for the style, though better retention would help. The nose is neat, with stong lemon notes overlaying yeasty bread and fruit. Some spice, but not as much as I expected. Its certainly interesting and unusual.
What a weird wit. There's a really strong bready/creamy character and the yeast plays a massive role. Its almost like its just a step removed from diacetyl, but not quite there. Lemon peeks in to provide a sharp edge lacking from the wheat, and combined with the mouthfeel, the whole effect is soft and gentle. This makes for an insanely drinkable, if a little plain, beer. The spicing is also far more subdued than a regular wit, and its almost bordering on a pale wheat ale in flavour.
A strange goose. Excellent drinkability, unexpected flavours and a good feel. A guilty pleasure, perhaps?

Cloudy dull gold with a thin collar and skim of fine white bubbles. Lacing was spotty and short-lived. Fair head retention for the meager cap that was present. Spicy aroma, coriander, wheat, lemon. Fruity sweetness to start, slight tartness in the finish. Malt flavour was muted compared to citrus zest, but there was a little bready yeast character. Spices were more subdued than in the aroma, yet the coriander peeked through from time to time giving it a bit more complexity. Dry and refreshing, medium to light bodied with carbonation on the low side. Not quite what I look for in a witbier, perhaps a little too fruity and missing some of the raw wheat character due to this. I'd have it again though.

Yellow/gold, medium carbonation, very thin white head.
Smells bready, hints of coriander and orange.
Very crisp, mild and refreshing, the citrus flavors come through more than the malts.
This beer is great, I wish I got more. Enough flavor to be an exciting beer, but not too much where you get full very fast.

Really light straw color with a great thick head of small fluffy bubbles. Smells like your quintessential Belgian; that particular citrusy-spice sour aroma that sort of defines the style.
The taste was much lighter than the smell. Really light mouthfeel, almost watery - what my friend described as "a weak Blue Moon". More specifically, I can definitely taste some orange peel and spice. Great drinkability with mid-low level of carbonation and almost no aftertaste. I would count this almost on the level of light beer in terms of drinking ease.
Solid, but not the most interesting flavor. Still, I would absolutely recommend it if your ultimate goal is to crush brews.

Picked up a six pack yesterday to bring to a friend's house. Poured into oversized goblet wine glasses. Hazy orange color. Fluffy white head, but it faded quickly. Seemed to last a bit longer when I stirred up the sediment on the second pour. Slight lacing on the glass. Lack of any enticing smell was a bit surprising. Taste was good for a witbier. Citrus and spice notes were right up front. Mouthfeel was on the watery side, so that could be improved. A nice beer to drink alone or to pair with dinner, but not a good enough witbier for me to revisit anytime soon.
