Visited my brother, who lives out in Ft. Collins, and went to this place several times. It's one of his favorites. The atmosphere is pretty nice, not too loud- and the pub is very spacious. They had 12 beers on draft when I was there, and everything I tried was between good and really good- I will definitely visit again to more of their beers. Our service was above average- nothing special, but not horrible either. No complaints there. Food is all pub type food, and is decent- not bad, but not incredible. Certainly serviceable. I'd recommend Coopersmith's to anyone, but you might want to hit a couple of Ft. Collins other places first.

Took me forever to find this place tucked in the middle of a village like group of stores and restaurants but I am glad I did.
All or most of their beers are made in house and ranged from above average to very good. Barrel treatments were not overdone, which I find in many brewpubs.

Sat at the bar, food was also above average as was the prompt and friendly service. Chatted with the bartender about their beers for a while.

Prices were quite standard for Gastropub type food. Beers were also reasonable. Definitely recommended for the continuously rotating craft, fine service and above average food.

The atmosphere is that of an American pub. Karaoke and billiards are the main stay here. The food is good quality. I enjoyed the pizza I had both times I stopped by. The single malt scotch selection is great. Their house made root beer is incredible. Their beers all seem to have a bit of a fishy taste. They had a beer called the black knight (I think) that was my favorite I've tried. I would go there after a long day in the spring/summer to get their watermelon beer.

In the central part of town, it had a sort of mall/ touristy/ supper club feel to the place. I really wanted to try the peanut butter hamburger, but didn't have the time. I did a sampler of beers and they were OK, but I really didn't find anything that pushed the envelope. For those who are beginning the journey into craft beer this would be a good place, but for me I'll be on Fort Collin's east side.

this exceeded my expectations bigtime. a huge establishment, cool older building but its way way big, seemingly impersonal. i was wrong. very friendly and helpful service, lots of brews to choose from, and some nice menu items, especially the seafood cakes. the beers were all pretty good, but the bourbon barrel stout was mindbendingly good, absolutely sensational, way way better than anything i expected to try here. id like to sit outside next time, but dont blow this place off based on appearance because the beer is craft and delicious, and you will enjoy it

As a birthday present, my wife treated me to an overnight at Fort Collins with a focus on local brews. Coopersmith's was our first stop.

I had never heard of the place, but it was easy to find in Old Town. The interior is long yet inviting. Good natural lighting and warm brick walls that, at this time, featured a wide array of original paintings by CSU students.

The staff was great, very attentive and answered our questions right away about the food and drinks. And when we asked about the wall art, our server didn't know much about it, but another staff member came right over and explained things.

The food was excellent. We started off with their hotwings and enjoyed them. Deb had a smoked salmon salad and I went for the bangers and mash with warm, home-made applesauce. The entire menu seemed like your basic brewpub fare with very reasonable prices. If our food was any indication, you get your moneys worth here.

Their beer selection was excellent. I could have easily stayed the entire afternoon and into the evening to try more of their beers, but settled for pints of the "Not Brown Ale", "Poor Richard's Ale", and "Sigda's Green Chili Beer". All decent with the chili beer being outstanding.

All in all, Coopersmith's proved to be an excellent place for decent food, great beer, excellent and friendly staff - well-worth a first, or in our case, or return visit.

P.S. - we visited the pub side, not the pool side...

As noted by many reviewers have stated, they have two buildings adjacent to one another, separated by a sidewalk that leads to the vendors' Old Town Square (which is a beautiful walk any time of year). The profile above says they have 10 beers on tap, but it's closer to 15.

Quality is great. I've had one of their beers that was a bit off (infected), but everything else I've had is delicious and fresh.

The service is pretty great. You can have a coherent conversation about their beer with most any waiter/waitress.

As stated above, they have quite a selection. They surely don't loose any footing with regard to seasonals, always good and fun.

The food is delicious. My wife and I don't eat out very much, but this is a place in town we'll splurge on. It's good stuff.

I enjoy Coopersmith's beer and really like how they're involved with the community. If you're swinging by Fort Collins for some brewery tours, I'd suggest making this place your dinner stop.

Coopersmith's essentially has two different venues: the pub/restaurant side and the pool (billiards) side. Their beer and some food is served in the pool side, and they have quite a few table to play on. The bar and restaurant have a nice atmosphere, but it can get quite busy on the weekends. The food is definitely above average, but the beer is the main reason to go. The have a few sub-par ones (read: Sigda's chili beer), but most are very good. Their seasonals are always very good, and their Horsetooth stout off the nitro-tap is amazing. Overall, a nice pub and pool house in the heart of Old Town Fort Collins.

Fort Collins is crazy. Everyone rides bikes. I saw someone moving a recyliner on a bike. The atmosphere was accomodating and fit in with the scene. A bit busy and had to wait to be seated, but understandable.

The quality was awesome. Great beers, fresh and delicious. Teh service was friendly, knowledgeable and prompt, especially for how busy it was. The selection was not all that, but what they had was quality. Several great beers on tap and numerous ok ones. Nothing extraordinary, but definitely a place to visit again. Very reasonable and laid back. Great place.

Stopped in Ft. Collins on a Saturday night along our journey from TX to Yellowstone for the night, and picked Coopersmith's Pub for dinner. Parking in this town is crazy, had to use (and pay) the public parking structure across the street. College town, the weather was nice, so there were tons of people out and about. Place was busy and we had to wait to be seated, but no more than 10-15 minutes. Service was ok, waitress was cordial enough, but busy. I think the service would have been better if the place wasn't packed. The Kolsch was fantastic. The food was pretty good, nice variety to choose from and the prices were reasonable. I'd recommend it if you are in the area.
