Took my Fiancee and my brother here kind of on a whim, i had heard good things about its beer list so i decided to go. First impression is that it is like 2 bars in one, the one side has pool tables and looked like a rough crowd, but the other side is your normal restaurant. The only problem overall was the fact that smoke was everywhere, it made reviewing beers hard since i couldn't smell them.
Food prices were ok, a bit high but nothing crazy. The bbq burger was really good, but i filled up on some hotwings as an appetizer. the food, service, atmosphere were all good. But the beer selection is the best i've seen in st.louis. Delirium, unibrou, rochefort, just to name a few. they had samplers, 4 6oz glasses for like 7 bucks so i did that and was able to try a few beers i had not had yet. this is the only place i've ever seen that has deliriu tremens on draft, had the pink elephant tap and everything, it was pretty cool i suggest it, i think i spent 90 bucks between the 3 of us, but we did drink alot of beers

We were in St Louis for the weekend. Friday evening and the place was busy and very noisy. Our server was great. Knew the menu and recommended the pizza. My wife had a pasta, she said it was good, but not great. I had a pizza, I would give it 4.5 of 5.0. The meats made it a little greasy, but it was still very good.
For beer, they claimed 53 on tap, over 150 bottles. My choices there was an Arrogant Bastard and an Urban Chestnut STLIPA. Each served in appropriate glassware.
All of this in a family friendly atmosphere, and well-patronized by locals. I will return.

I've worked down the street from this place pretty much since they opened at their present location, so I guess it's time to put my 2 cents in.
Vibe: College kid. Lotta jam bands play in their admittedly nice music room. A certain uncomfortable je ne se qois dominates throughout the rest of the place, with the dining area resembling a chain restaurant, the bar area short on chairs and the game area basically a sports bar/frat house basement.
Food: Unremarkable. Basic St Louis bland Italian food.
Service: Always friendly, usually knowledgable.
Selection: Huge list, well-chosen, proper glassware, all of it. Recently I had a Van Honsebrouk St Louis Peche on tap there for almost half of what I've paid for it elsewhere. Weekly beer school, throughout most of the year.
Overall, a required stop, as is the neightborhood in general. The Loop's great for people watching, catching a show, grabbing a bite and a coupla beers. Soon there'll be a hotel on the strip so you won't have to worry about driving home.

I'm a big fan of Cicero's and have been coming here since the first week that I moved to St. Louis. Their draft and bottle list is impressive, their food is pretty good, and their prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is welcoming as well. I always look forward to coming to Cicero's and really enjoy attending Beer School each Wednesday night. If you're coming to St. Louis it's definitely worth checking out. Beer School is a weekly event during the "school year" (August - April) when various brewers and distributors from across the US come in and have the students sample 3 or 4 beers for free. There's even a graduation ceremony at the end of each semester!

I really enjoy Ciceros since they have misplaced all but one of their pool tables. They have a new GM (Karen McVicker) who has really placed a focus on their beer selection. Recently they have strted doing a beer school class every Wednesday night. Each week they have a rep from a different brewery come in and talk about their beers and brewery, also you get a 4 oz sample of 4 of their beers. It has grown from 35-50 people last fall to 90-100 people this winter. Long story short Ciceros is really driving the beer culture on-premise in St Louis!!

The atmosphere varies depending on which part of the building you are in. I personally like to sit at the bar because the service is fairly quick and I've had some good beer talks with the bartenders. The music venue can be fun depending on what bands are playing, but it's nice to be able to see a band and drink great beer at the same time. Compared to most bars their selection is outstanding. I've always been able to find something exceptional to sip on. The food is pretty good, mostly higher end bar food in my experience, but I haven't eaten there much. I mostly go for the beer and the music, and both are good enough to keep me coming back.

Have been here numerous occasions, and always enjoy it. The beer selection is the best in "The Loop", and the bartenders are more often than not very knowledgable and ready with suggestions.
Atmosphere is so-so, its best enjoyed on a nice summer night from one of their outside tables. Inside dining area is cramped, and the bar area is a little run-down.
Food is not great with the exception of their pizzas, which are tremendous. Stick with that and you'll have a good meal.
Value is good, most pints in the $3-$5 range, and the pizzas are reasonable as well.
