Wild oak aged imperial stout.
Arrives in a 12 oz snifter.
A: very thin light tan head, quickly dissipates. No lacing. Dark brown with an amber tint at the edge. Looks like flat cola
S: sour tart cherry, dark fruits. Some red wine notes.
T: moderately tart, but not overwhelming. Balanced. Barrel aging is very subtle, as are the roasty notes from the stout base. Does not come across as an imperial stout. Incredibly well balanced and flavorable. Great finish.
M: for the lack of a head, the carbonation itself is spot on. Could use a little more body for the style.
O/D: for their first beer, this one is a huge winner. Great flavor, balanced, and incredibly easy to drink. Maybe a bit too much so at 11%!
