Well, looks like grandma has gone nuts. This English style brown ale hits you upside the head with a nose chock-full of toasted Georgia pecan flavors followed by a rich, full-bodied finish. Just like grandma’s pecan pie, this baby will have you coming back for more. So, what are you waiting for? Pop the top and give old grandma a kiss.

I don't know what the hell is up with the low rating. This beer is nearly perfect.
L: Poured into a goblet, a light tan head (somewhere between beige and khaki) of super fine foam puffs up for just a moment, dissipating disappointingly within 30 seconds. It leaves a nice thick ring of lacing of lacing, however, and the body is a gorgeous translucent brown, which glows a transparent amber red when held to a light source.
S: Brown sugar and molasses hit the nose first, followed by buttery toffee and nutty pecan. Whole grain bread with an oaty creaminess hides under the sweet notes.
T: It's much less sweet than the nose suggests, and there's a minimal, but unexpected tartness. Again, molasses, brown sugar, toffee and pecan are the predominant flavors, with the pecan taking center stage here. There's a bit of salty pretzel, and some yeast notes alongside the bread, which comes off like whole wheat pizza dough.
F: It has a light creaminess like oats, but is well carbonated, and that acidity keeps it light and extremely drinkable. More on the crisp side, so if you're hoping for something really velvety, like a nitro stout, save this for another time.
O: This is only the second dark beer I have had that is flavored with Pecans (the other being Even More Pecan Pie Jesus--which is about double the ABV and almost as delicious), but I'm sold: match made in heaven. Cheers!

Had this at Grasslands BBQ in Anaheim served on tap. Really flavorful beer that blasts you with pecan right away. Body is a little thin but three more it warms up it makes up for it. Solid brew that I wish I could find in Minnesota.

First tried this beer at the Thousand Oaks, CA location. This is a great beer. As a fan of Brown Ales I found the clear and light brown color to be a nice surprise. The taste has a great pecan, brown sugar, maple trio of notes. I found the flavor to be strong yet wonderful. This is my new Thanksgiving beer... if only I could find it in North Carolina. Very impressed with what Dudes' is putting out and this is a must try.

Poured can into dimpled seidel. Dark brown. Frosty beige head, good retention.
Nose is like pecan pie, with is nice and nostalgic.
Taste is a rich malty nutty blend, sweet and, true to an English brown, not very hoppy.
Mouth is thin, but not watery.
Superior to other attempts at pecan brown ale, a rare brown that's both flavorful and surprisingly light.

The smell and taste reminds me so much of pecan pie. Almost too much as it is incredibly sweet but it is delicious. Thoroughly enjoyable and would recommend, but by a single first.

Brown, caramel up to the light with half a finger of eggshell head that recedes to a thin layer. Good looking carbonation when rocking the glass. Mild lacing. Aroma: Mild, but really dead on. It smells exactly like one of those 50 cent pecan pies you find in C-Stores. Nutty, sweet, and maple. In the taste, big explosion of flavor of what you get in the aroma and then it's gone. Then the caramel pecan returns and lingers really nicely; great aftertaste. Average carbonation on the palate, slightly sticky, dry on finish, medium light body. It is as advertised. If you like pecan pie you should dig this.
